Would not recommend
I am not a picky traveler and have never written a bad review before but I want others to avoid my mistake. I checked into the hotel for a 2 night stay. When I entered the room, the musty odor was overpowering and the carpets, furniture, and bedding were wet with humidity. 3 hours of running the air at full speed had not removed any of the moisture from the room. Even placing a towel on the couch before sitting on it, my clothes were wet when I stood up and smelled musty. The couch, pillows, and bedding smelled moldy/musty. Bathroom smelled strongly of urine. Due to a mold allergy I was coughing and congested within 3 hours, and my eyes started burning when I walked in the room. The hallways were also musty smelling and smelled of cigarette smoke despite the hotel claiming it was 100% smoke-free. I reported my dissatisfaction to the front desk and was told that they could give me a fan. I said I was unable to stay due to a mold allergy. I told them I realized I would not get a refund for the first night, but requested a refund for the second night. They said I had to go through hotels.com to request a refund. I filed a complaint with hotels.com and they requested a refund on my behalf, which was denied by Super 8. I'm not sure how this hotel gets an 8.4 review. I would not recommend staying here.
