I travelled to Harrogate for the Theatre, to see a comedy show with friends. The free parking and close location to the town centre where the main reason for choosing The Camberley. It's a lovely hotel, very clean, with a nice, friendly atmosphere. The staff where very friendly and helpful. My room (3)was on the top floor, it had a four poster bed, which I didn't expect. The room was small but comfortable and it felt quite upmarket. Really nicely decorated, it had a boutique feel to it.The ensuite was nice and clean, a toilet, wash basin and a shower cubicle with dark wood style panels, made a nice change from the usual white.Shower has an adjustable handset. Electric, simple to use and good water pressure.
Towels where nicely folded, placed on the bed.The room had a chair, table with tea and coffee facilities, a mini fridge, open rail clothes hanger and a couple of bedside drawers with lamps on. An old style column radiator which I didn't need as it was warm outside.
The view from the window overlooked the car park at the rear of the property with trees and the residential street behind.
Overall, a really nice, comfortable room.
The toilet was very close to the wall, my knees could touch it when sitting, but it was a small ensuite. The buildings in Harrogate are old and beautiful. People didn't need large rooms back then. You come to Harrogate for it's period charm.
