Towering ponderosa pines frame this mountain town where astronomers discovered Pluto at the historic Lowell Observatory. Wander downtown's red sandstone buildings before catching live music at the Orpheum Theatre. The Museum of Northern Arizona showcases indigenous cultures that thrived here long before Route 66 brought road-trippers through. Escape summer heat with a hike up Humphreys Peak or winter powder at Arizona Snowbowl. Twin Arrows Navajo Casino Resort
"Rooms were super clean, complementary breakfast buffet needs improvement, powder eggs and bacon cold, out of fresh fruit, out of syrup for waffles and out of milk for oatmeal and cereal and when I checked out the front desk lady tried to charge me More even after I told her I went through Hotel.com and prepaid for my 2 night stay, she kept insisting I still owed taxes of $119 for my stay, I keep telling her NO the stay was COMPLETELY PAID for through Hotel.Com, she made me wait while she went and got a manager. The manager came asked me my name and my room number, the manager looked at the computer and the information on computer didn't match what I gave here, the clerk was trying to charge me for another person's stay. So be careful when checking out."
Comfort Inn Flagstaff South I-17
"Spacious one bed clean plenty of towels and pillows"
Hyatt Place Flagstaff
"We found our room to be very clean and comfortable, which are really the essentials when pulling off the road for a good night of sleep. With the pull-out couch in our suite, we were able to easily sleep all five in our family. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was amazing and kept us well-fueled for the remainder of our journey back to the Phoenix area. A quick shout-out to the staff working the counter: as we were leaving, a power outage took out the computer system at the hotel and prevented us from getting a traditional paper receipt. But the staff took down my e-mail address and promptly sent us an electronic receipt once power was restored. They made our check-out quick and painless. Thank you!..."
