Nous avons passé un anniversaire en famille au Chic, Hotel pour adultes que nous connaissons depuis son ouverture. Tout était parfait à part la plage souillée d’algues et la mer dans laquelle il faut être courageux pour entrer. Comme toujours, c’est le personnel et le management sur place qui font la différence. Bravo au staff du restaurant buffet et à son directeur Algelis. Super accueil très professionnel et efficace de Carlos au Diamond. Excellent service en général

I would not recommend you stay here!

Do not stay here! It does not represent the Marriott brand. They try to sell you timeshares. Someone is constantly stopping you to purchase something! And, if your purchase says you will get credits, it's a joke. I contacted them ahead of my arrival and at check in to get information on what the credits could be used for, they would not provide the information until the following day after I checked in, and it was a coupon book. After I was told I could use it, it wasn't accepted, but they gave it to me. The hotel is outdated. The only good and positive aspects of this resort are the spa, which costs an additional fee and is located towards the back of the property. I would not recommend this place to anyone. And, the Butler service is not what you expect either. You can contact the first desk to get the same service. Check-in was also problematic, so please have your documentation. And, yes, I voiced all my concerns and dput them in writing but nothing was done!

I don’t recommend

The food was terrible and the rooms were not what they say on the website. I didn't like the experience at all. The air conditioning in the rooms didn't work and they didn't do anything to fix it. I spent those days there. It was terrible. I don't recommend it.

Når vi kom dit ble vi skuffet over rommene fordi vi ville ha kalt rommene for standar og ikke luksus. Renhold ikke så bra. Vi fikk ingen informasjon om noe når vi kom annet enn hvor rommene var. Vi savnet en brosjyre om generell informasjon ang mat, hvor ting var, klokkeslett på ting osv. Maten var så som så. Hadde vært fint med flere parasoller også. Ellers så var bassenget, stranda og barene fantastisk. Vi koset oss rundt der. Personalet der var hyggelig.

Staff was great as we expected! Natalie took great care of all our requests and questions. The resort itself is absolutely stunning and the grounds were a beautiful site anywhere you went. The buffet was good at best. The pools were gorgeous and amazing!!! We rented a cabana one day and just WOW! What an experience of the space, the snacks (food was too good), drinks, and the activities! Every activity was so fun and entertaining! However our room wasn’t the best. The AC wasn’t great, fridge did not work, we asked for ice a couple times and never came. Room service wait was at least 90 mins or more and not anything to brag about either. The room wasn’t the cleanest in terms of towels, countertop and pillow cases. I expected a little more luxury for the room. Bed was super firm and uncomfortable and pillows were completely worn out. For what we paid per night, it wasn’t the best. We went to Vespa and Hunter for dinner and both did not disappoint. The VibeTeam was so cool and made sure every guest had fun! We paid for a night pass at Royalton Splash and that was great for their All White Party. Buffet was so delicious there too! The foam party at Chic was cancelled after we paid for the cabana rental because of the foam party.

Very sad how much this hotel has declined.

My first stay at this hotel was for 2022-2023 new years and I was deliaghted, but in this second time the experience was totally different. The quality and preparation of the food in most restaurants wasn’t that good, except for the Sushi and Ceviches that was a top. And the worst was the air conditioner in the room, it didn’t cool enough, even we reported every day and they made efforts to solve the issue it only cool for a while and then it started to feel hot again in the room. The swim out pool of the room wasn’t cleaned daily and properly, since day 1 of our stay there was a pice of bread that someone threw for birds and it stood in the water in the same spot for the our whole 5 days stay. I didn’t use the swim out at all. Definitely not worth the price payed for upgraded Diamond swim out suite. In general this hotel has degraded its quality and service.

The property had black mold and gave us a hard time to exchange the room. There were bathroom appliances broken and no communication amongst staff after requesting supervisor services. The property employees were rude not knowing we speak Spanish and insulting us. Overall my experience was horrible.

My sheets were dirty and had sand on them upon my initial check in. The room was musty and smelled like mildew. Staff sprayed air freshener to cover the awful smell. There was no liquor in the mini bar as stated. We were given a small bottle of rum upon our departure. Food was sub-par and we found ourselves eating off the resort or just eating snacks. Complaints were made but not addressed timely or at all. Staff was friendly.

This is not a 5 star resort..a 3 is being generous. This resort is not aesthetically pleasing at all, needs several updates and repairs. The food is awful - every single restaurant. Out of all of the restaurants, only 2 were open each night we were there. I have never had such terrible food at a resort and they weren't the cleanest. The swim up suites and diamond club are a joke. There is zero point to having them. If you are over 40, you don't fit in.. the beach is dirty and full of seaweed where you can't even walk into the water - most resorts come by with the machines in the morning to clear the sand. they play music majority of the day without a dj and its elevator music till the afternoon - then its repetitive songs day in and day out - and random choices! goes from rap, to Spanish, to Adele?? the bars and restaurants would run out of things around 2-3pm. the employees will bother you and push to make sales while you are relaxing - there are people walking to sell on the beach (its not private like it says) - overall I would NEVER recommend this resort or stay at another Royalton. I ignored many negative reviews thinking it can be that bad - this was by far the worst all inclusive hotel I have ever stayed at.

The check in process was horrible and the ended up charging me an additional $282 because I forgot to add my friend to the reservation which I could have simply changed in the hotels.com app. Then they ended up putting us in a king bed room which within the app I requested double beds. We then got the room changed to a double room and the mini bar was half drank not fully stocked, there were no towels or wash clothes and the room was dirty. The following day (Tuesday) which was our last day they changed our room again due to our complaints. The food was subpar at best. We ate at the swim up bar and some of our food came out with hair in it. The day of checkout they tried to charge me an additional “$6” as it was not charged on my initial check in. Overall the stay was horrible there and I would not recommend it to any of my friends or family.

**Absolutely Horrible Experience – Avoid at All Costs!** My recent stay at the Royalton Chic in the Dominican Republic ended in a complete nightmare. When I tried to check out, the front desk staff accused me of booking an excursion under my room number – an excursion I *never* booked. They insisted I pay for it and refused to let me check out until it was resolved. I spent **45 stressful minutes** trying to explain this wasn’t my charge. No one believed me. Finally, by complete luck, the *actual guest* who used my room number for the excursion happened to walk by as she was leaving to go home. Only then did they acknowledge their mistake — **a mistake that could’ve caused me to miss my flight**. Their response after all this? Just a weak “sorry.” This is completely unacceptable. If she hadn’t shown up, I would’ve been held at the hotel over *their own error*. I’ve never experienced such incompetence or lack of accountability. I do **not** recommend this hotel to anyone. They do not care about their guests or their time. Be warned. ---

The staff did not greet you, there was no elevator to get to our room and I had a injury, the ac did not work property, there was no welcome cocktail or cool towel to wipe our hands off from traveling, the linens and towels were dirty and we told our concierge who didn’t do anything, their were bugs crawling on the walls and baseboards, and the toilet closet was tiny. We left the second day and reserved another hotel, Secrets up the way.

Food was not good. I read reviews about the food and decided to try myself and was very disappointed. Liquor was not top quality.Some of the staff was friendly and some not so friendly. Resort was clean. But would not stay again...

I was expecting more of a party vibe, but it was more chill and relaxed. For my husband and I, we didn't mind because we needed the rest. Resort is beautiful and staff were wonderful! So if you are the type who wants endless partying, not the resort for you or just do some clubbing outside resort. Royalton Chic is for beauty, pampering and a little turn up.
