Greeted at the check-in desk and received our keys. The lady told us that the housekeeping only took place on day 3 of our stay. I emphatically explained to her, that I would need housekeeping “daily” and she said she would take care of it. (Also told us, that if there were any clothes on the bed that they would not make it. I assured her that we are quite familiar with putting things away so housekeeping can do their job in just a few minutes.
All we wanted was to replace the towels, empty trash and make the bed. (Probably a 10 minute deal at most)
We left the room about 10 and returned about 5, guess what? No one had touched the room. Called down and she was apologetic but couldn’t really do anything,
however she would bring some towels up, which she did promptly. So day 2 was a fail. On day 3, there was a “banging” on the door about 9am. My wife answered the door and said that we would be leaving in about and hour. The “lady” seemed very put out about this and her facial expression was that of disgust. We left at 10 and returned about 5. Upon returning, the room again had not been touched. We called down and again, got the apologetic front desk, who was unable to do anything. We asked for towels and she said she would bring them up. This time she must have been busy doing her own job, as it took a couple of hours. So day 3 was also a fail.
We are seniors in our 70’s, we do not expect to spend time making the beds and “begging" for towels.
