Beyond disappointing, will not return. I booked this as a luxury property / splurge for my mother. I chose an oceanfront suite with two queen beds.
Checking in was a slow-going, and we were uninformed of the resort amenities specifically the community bonfire, the town complimentary shuttle, and the latest time to place a call for room service.
When we arrived in the room unfortunately we were deflated.
The property chooses to use tablets for things like “about the room” and room service, but the one in our room was not charged, so it died as I took it out to place an order. The tablet also did not charge an iPhone even though there’s a port for it. The phone headset was unresponsive so placing calls for front desk or the restaurant was not possible. The two ice machines nearest the building were out of order. Moving to the outdoor patio, the foot stool was broken in two places and unusable. In the bathroom, the TP roll holder was broken and hanging off the side of the wall. The construction on the ground floor transmits noise and heavy walkers above us made for light sleeping.
We only stayed one night, and for something we intended to splurge on we felt that what we received was simply unacceptable for a resort that commands nearly $1K night for a room.
I alerted the morning staff to the needs of this room and she seemed apologetic. It was a disappointing stay, especially coming from a place in Yachats that had truly 5 star service and was 1/3 the nightly rate.
