First the positives: the location was great, very walkable to many dining options and attractions. The property had a cute, retro vibe. Also, the staff was very helpful and attentive to all requests and questions.
Now the negatives: One - there was no elevator and my 70 year old mother couldn’t handle the walk up and down to the third floor multiple times through out the day. We did voice this concern to the front desk and they quickly offered us a room on the main level but charged us and additional fee per night, which we felt was not right, but we had no other choice if we wanted to stay at the hotel. Second, on the day of our arrival, we got a text from the hotel asking if we were bringing a vehicle and needed a parking spot on site. We said yes, not realizing that there would be a $50 a night additional fee (this should have been noted in the text)! Let me also say that we stayed in another hotel for the second part of our trip, and there was no fee to park on site. Third, the bathrooms are small - and I mean small to the point that you’re bumping your elbows without even extending your arms in the shower. And if you’re claustrophobic, you’re not going to make it through the shower!
Over all, the hotel was clean and safe, and the staff was super friendly and helpful, but there were hidden fees that put a damper on our stay and the lack of elevators made it very hard for senior in our group to manage getting back and forth to our room.
