The front desk staff at Mountain Shadows Ranch was generally professional, friendly, and communicative. However, during checkout, one incident left me disappointed. While I was discussing charges on my bill, a gentleman approached and requested bottled water. The staff member helping me immediately left to assist him, which felt inconsiderate.
The property itself is beautiful, well-kept, and very clean, even with frequent events and weddings. My room was spacious and overlooked the pool, and the hallways and elevators were fresh and well-maintained. However, there were a few issues: the in-room Keurig machine didn’t work and was dirty, though it was replaced within two hours. Additionally, while we received a number to text for requests, it took about 2 hours for a response when I asked for towels.
We ordered room service on the first night, but the quality was disappointing. My daughter’s stuffed pasta was mostly onions, and my flatbread pizza was burnt and cold. The next morning, I raised my concerns, and Marissa at the front desk was very understanding, offering a credit toward another meal.
Noise was another issue. Guests were loud in the pool area by 8 a.m., which made it hard to sleep in. Additionally, as a VIP guest, I had drink coupons, but they were not honored, and I was charged instead.
Overall, while the staff was courteous and the property lovely, the noise, service delays, and some inconsistencies made the experience average.
