Terrible management. Ruined our vacation.
We had a horrifying experience with the manager, Devin McGowen, at Paseo who made a bad situation much worse than it should have been.
The problem started as soon as we walked into the room #247 and found the lock not being functional. Then maintenance crew was sent to fix it, and they arrived a long time later. They said it would take a while for it to get fixed and took a piece out of the lock and went away. We asked to be moved to a new room. They said they will send someone with the new room keys, but after a long while, no one showed up. Then things started going really wrong when we decided to go down to the front desk to get the new keys since we found out we could not get out of our room. We were locked in and not able to unlock the door from the inside. I called the front desk again telling them we can’t get out and that it is a safety issues in case of fire or earthquakes since both are very common in that region. No one showed up for a long while. When the manager finally spoke to us on the phone, it was with a very bad tone of voice saying “well, it happens, what do you want me to do about it? Do you want me to check you out?”. When we were finally rescued and moved to a new room just to find the toilet not working.
