We were first surprised by the lack of common space for two couples in an apartment. The photos show a sofa sleeper in the living room, however we had a single chair(a pull out) a tiny table and two chairs. The kitchen was fully equipped, however we didn't do any cooking. The bedrooms were large, and both had air conditioning. One bedroom had a wardrobe with only two hangers, the other had no closet, wardrobe or drawers to unpack anything. The beds were firm, but okay. Both rooms had a flat screen TV, where we could only get one channel. That's okay - we were not there to watch TV. The local area had restaurants. We especially loved the Bread Factory, where we had breakfast every day. Right from there, we could get on the Hop On/ Hop Off Bus or catch a cab anywhere. The bread factory was a short 3 blocks away. We found that a cab ride from the hotel to the tourist areas should cost about 7 Euro - negotiate before you get into the cab! Most drivers asked for double that to begin with. We were close to the subway - but never used it since 4 of us in a cab actually cost less. There is a food market just across the street, and a drop off laundry. We were charged 10Euro for each small load, I think they overcharged us since we came in right at closing time. The check in was smooth, the staff helpful. We were given fresh towels each day. For the money, we felt happy with our choice. We wanted to feel more like we were "locals" rather than at any chain hotel anywhere.
