The grounds, pool area, and common areas were beautiful, offering a wonderful and cozy view. The food was was also quite good.
The room we were assigned was long in need of repairs and upkeep. It had only two small windows for a rather spacious area, and three bedrooms, such that it felt very much like we were stuck in a cave.
The furniture was stained, the shower head was coming apart, the very dated kitchen area was in need of a refresh, and there was an ant problem in the room.
When mentioning to the front desk the issue of the ants, they looked at us and simply said “and why would that be?”
The other rooms (from what little I could see) appeared to be in better shape, and provided more windows /natural lighting.
The owners and staff were generally congenial, though somewhat ambivalent to the traveler experience.
