Good location BUT steer clear of this hotel! First impression is ‘this looks as though it’s seen much better times’ and this continued. Liked that you had to buzz to get in but no intercom so anyone could enter. The entrance is run down, the stairs un carpeted and not clean, the walls grubby as is the lift - it’s dirty! The reception area is dismal and dark. The corridors are dark in fact the motion sensor took so long to kick in I had to use the torch on my phone! Scary to say the least and could be disastrous in the event of an emergency. The room I was given - well worst I’ve ever encountered, grubby, stained carpet, a few steps down from bathroom to bedroom - no rail, bed small and uncomfortable- I sat on it and decided no way could I sleep there. Very little furniture and the windows were filthy and on opening seemed barely capable of not disintegrating, looking outside onto the roof of a railway station there was a lot of discarded rubbish.
This hotel was probably a railway one originally but now, well words fail me, I lasted just a few minutes before I realised I couldn’t stay there, disappointed as wasted my hard earned money and it wasn’t the cheapest option available when booking well in advance!
