Misleading Parking Fees
Well, here's my reason for providing the rating that i did. On the Hotels.com web site ad, this hotel provided a price along with the stmt, "All taxes and fees included in the total." In addition, the 'What guests liked about the parking' stated, "Parking was convenient, easy to access, and often included or waived with room prepayment." I beg to differ... as I was charged an additional $15.00 per day for parking! I didnt find out about about this charge until checking out. I questioned the desk attendent and she stated, "It (the fee) was on the form you had to fill out regarding your car." This is why they not only disregard ever mentioning it upon check-in, but also highlight specific areas that they want you to fill out - none of which had a specific fee highlighted! The highlights are to make the customer focus only of those areas they want you. It's not that i cant afford an extra $15/day, but its the "shadiness" of it and the fact that the Hotels.com web site led me to believe one thing, then in the end it wasnt representative of the 'final' bill.
