Was an amazing stay. Beds were so comfy, extremely private and spacious. Location is great. Smoke alarm needed a new battery and beeped all night long (totally not their fault), but that was the only issue i encountered. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay. We were just passing through and it was an unexpected surprise to find this place. There was an expensive but different and yummy hamburger joint just around the corner. Check in was easy with the key code and it was a nice small motel tucked in the trees. My only complaint was the next door rooster that woke us up and that wasn't the motels fault.

We booked a classic single but wanted kitchenette so we were upgraded to the studio cottage with kitchenette for the same price. Then when we got there they upgraded us again to a double room with kitchenette at the same price. Room was clean nicely decorated and so close to wineries and a short drive to camping and ocean access. Staff was helpful and friendly. The only thing I can say slightly negative is a neighbor has peacocks and was surprised how loud they were at 3:00am. All in all a great place

Love Seeing This Place Thrive

I am so glad to see the Anderson Valley Inn being taken care of. I even considered purchasing the property a few years back when it was for sale. I am glad to see that it is thriving. I also like that the name hasn't changed. The rooms were clean, easy to get into, and functioned exactly how one would expect. I will likely continue to direct people here.

Good/great overall experience, considering the extraordinary location in Philo. Although the standard rooms are small, heating appliances and bathrooms worked well. King sized beds may or may not fit in all rooms, but a few would benefit this property. I recommend ownership implements new pillows, sheets and bedding. Perhaps consider adding small refrigerators? We had to chill our n/a drinks and white wine outside the door overnight. While checking out on the final day, our interaction with Gerardo was fantastic. Thank you, we shall return in the spring!

We found the housekeeping below acceptable standards. There were black ants on the walls. The power went out in part of the unit however there was a prompt response from management. A guard dog nearby barked day and night. There was only one wine glass and it was cracked and dirty. The bed was comfortable. The inn needs on-scene management.

The location is not the best due to the traffic noise and a rooster crowing early morning. They gave us a warning about the water tank of the property being refilled and ended up wity dirty water (light brown color) in the shower and toilet. I didn’t feel ok with this and if I knew this was the case I would I have stayed somewhere else. The positive side is that it’s across the street if sharfenbeger winery and the staff was very communicative throughout. I was going to attached the sample of dirty water but I rather not and hope they do better next time(for other guest)

Awkward - more of a cheapo airbnb than a hotel. Bathroom not clean enough - base of toilet hairy and ... not clean. Ex garage type space turned into a room with a kitchenette ...with a stained sink. Mini fridge dirty. Bed the cheap ikea quality. Area rug FILTHY and really worn/due for replacement. Room on a road that is full of loud trucks well past midnight. Place overall seems like it is trying to be on trend but it is really hacky - basically a single family residence chopped up into "hotel" rooms.

Needs better mattress. Way too soft. Loved the kitchenette with great refrigerator, coffee maker (with coffee). Rooster across the street impacted night sleep. Large bedroom plus kitchenette and sitting room. Cute outside sitting area.
