This hotel is fine if you are just staying one night and want to be near New street station and in the centre at a reasonable price. Some parts of the hotel need updating but our room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was obviously new and clean.

Perfectly fine for a night or two. Excellent location right next to the station. I had a recently revamped room, which had a nice overhead shower and carpet. I've stayed at the Britannia hotels in Manchester and Scarborough and went here with v low expectations but was pleasantly surprised as this was so much better than them!

Decent enough for £70 a night, couldn’t complain about anything for the price. Basic room and amenities and very central location.

Excellent location. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the bathroom was nice. Good amenities. Only real cons were quite a bit of noise could be heard from other rooms, and there were some unsavoury characters sitting outside the hotel entrance and making comments when we came at night, which I appreciate is not the fault of the hotel

Ok for a one night stop over. Room was a good size, everything a little dated and the bathroom could have been cleaner, but for what we paid it was okay. We just needed a bed and bathroom as we were visiting Birmingham for a concert. Wouldn't have wanted to stay much longer. The area around the hotel felt a little unsafe, especially if a solo traveller arriving late at night. It's tucked away down a back alley. Check out at 10am could be a bit early for some, compared to some budget chain hotels, but was ok for us as we were up, out and going home.

Booked a triple room for three men but on checking in we were told there we told two of us would have to share a double bed. Not ideal. We were offered a free late checkout as compensation as no other rooms were available. The entrance to the hotel is via a seedy alley where drunks and homeless people hang out. The bar was closed but the room itself was clean and well maintained.

This hotel is cheap for a reason, it is very dated the lifts are on their last legs and it is extremely noisy. I was woken up by a huge fight in the corridor at 2am which went on for 40 mins before the Police arrived. It is well located and it looks like the bathrooms may have been done recently.

Great location for food, shopping, and transportation. One of the two elevators didn't work (and hadn't for months)! Clean, and every thing else worked. Staff was wonderful at storing our bags before and after our stay for free. Price is right. We would stay there again. ThinkTank and Birmingham Museum were much better than I had expected. ThinkTank has the best collection of machines I have ever seen--4 huge floors!

One of the elevators was out of service during my stay, resulting in wait times of more than 10 minutes for both check-in and elevator service. This was particularly inconvenient when arriving with luggage and when coming and going from the 9th floor. Despite this issue, the room itself was clean, comfortable, and nicely appointed, providing a pleasant space to relax. However, the bed was quite firm, which may not suit guests who prefer a softer mattress, and the room did not include a refrigerator, making it less convenient for storing drinks or snacks. Unfortunately, the bar and restaurant were also closed throughout my stay, which was disappointing and limited the available on-site dining options.
