Lovely friendly helpful staff. Great value room compared to other places nearby. The window above the room door let light in when other guests walked by the rooms and the automatic light switched on, but this was very infrequent and otherwise no complaints. Would stay here again!

Great central location, peaceful and good parking - but all a bit shabby and basic for the price. Room walls rather thin and noise carries through. Breakfast was good. The idea is good, but this is all rather tired and needs some investment to make as nice as it could be. If your primary concern is location and you are driving, this is a great choice. If you want somewhere of a high standard in terms of rooms this isn’t it.

Quirky historic hotel in a very quiet part of the city, but just a few minutes walk from the centre. Great staff, lovely breakfast. Well appointed room and bathroom. Only slight criticism is that the double bed was two singles pushed together and they were very "mobile" so would drift apart easily!
