I gave it a 2 star because our room was clean and staff friendly. But. Toilet needs work. Air conditioner omg needs thrown out sooo loud turns on and off on its own finally just had to unplug it. That's when I realized the fridge was noisy when I thought it was my husband snoring. Shampoo container was empty and we only had 1 towel. So hot in room finally opened window for air. No sleep. Breakfast mediocre.

The hotel is conveniently located at the main road which was straight to the Mesa Verde's main gate. From there, everything was down hill: The swimming pool was closed for a while and rundown, The yard between the buildings was dirty and not maintained, broken equipment was sitting there. The coffee machine in our room was broken. When we came back from the tour at around 5:30 pm, the room was not cleaned, and the coffee machine was still not repaired/changed. (I had informed the front desk in the morning.) When I asked the front desk to clean the room, she just complaint that the cleaning crew only cleaned 20 rooms then left. However, she was willing to upgrade us to a suite, which was a nice move. That's why I gave it a 3-star, instead a 1-star review. The breakfast was most basic: There was no real juice, only the artificial fruit drinks. the hot water was locked in a room which we had to go to the front desk to ask the clerk to open the door and get it for us. The hotel was not worth the money we paid. I definitely will not return to that hotel in the future.

This is a very old hotel that has tried to modernize, but still shows its age. The room was clean, but outside is filthy. I didn’t even want to identify half of what was on the sidewalk. I had a room in the corner behind the stairs with no exterior light. Then the light switches inside the door didn’t work, so I had to stumble in and find a lamp. Never got WiFi working with any variation of the two passwords I was given. The plumbing is old and the shower was very hard to adjust. It ended up being either lukewarm or scalding. Glad I was only here one night.
