We chose this hotel based on good reviews and location. At first glance it looks old and in need of attention. The woman at check in was very nice. I asked if either upstairs or downstairs rooms had had better views she said no so we opted for downstairs. The room is very outdated and funky. Clean, yes, but very small. Very little space for one bag each let alone walking through the room. The bathroom is tiny with an old sink, only a small rickety shelf above the toilet. No towel bar to hang used or in use towels. No exhaust fan. The heater is old and didnt work,they did instruct us how to reset it to work, but it kept running all night with a bright green light illuminating the room. No view from the window in the room, just the unmaintained parking lot. The bathroom window looks onto the back of another building. A worker pulled in to an adjacent room in the early evening and blasted his Rap music for 15 or so minutes.
We are on a month road trip and are NOT luxury hotel people at all. We like to give the local, family operated motels our business, but this was a sham. I’m having a hard time believing that the raving reviews are legitimate.
I’m sure some people find this place sweet & charming, I just believe that reviews should be more honest so choices can be made according to personal preferences
