Pestana Carlton Madeira Ocean Resort Hotel
"Great Hotel with excellent service"
Pestana Casino Park Ocean and SPA Hotel
"Good basic 4 star hotel, as a base with a pool and breakfast it was fine for us. As long as a little tired decor doesn’t trigger you you’ll be great. Location is fantastic with a small park next door, shopping centre 5mins walk away and dozens of bars and restaurants nearby."
Solar de Boaventura
"The rooms were clean, and large with large opening windows or balconies to dry your clothes or to let in a breeze. The staff were very nice, friendly and quite helpful. There is exactly enough parking if the hotel is full, as there is two parking lots. Even as the last to come back at the end of the day, we were able to park our mini SUV without issue. The hotel has incredible views of the mountains that surround Boaventura The pool and outdoor relaxation space was very nice to come back to each day for either an afternoon rest or an evening swim. The jacuzzi was not the warmest in the world. You do have to pay 10 euro to use the sauna. Pool hours are 9am-8pm, it would be great if the pool was open later for the late returning travelers. There is plenty of shared space on be property inside and out as well. The buffet breakfast was a great way to start the day, not many options but the options available were good (deli meats, cheese, breads, cereal, fruit and toast, plus coffee and juice). Breakfast hours are from 8am-10am which does make it difficult to enjoy the breakfast if you plan on going somewhere for the sunrise. The dinner menu also had a few choices and the portions were decently large. The hours here are 7pm-9pm which again can make it difficult to enjoy if you go out for a sunset or are maximizing the day on another part of the island."
Saccharum Resort
"We had such an amazing stay. Everything was so clean. The staff was excellent. Perfect location. We just loved everything about it. A beautiful place! ❤️"

This allows ample time for sightseeing around the beautiful islands, exploring the mountains, and relaxing in natural parks. You can also enjoy the serene small-town atmosphere, take a dip in the sea, and indulge in the local coffee and gardens, making this trip a great value for money.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to São Vicente, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals section on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. Additionally, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com to stay informed about flash sales and unique last-minute offers, which could help you maximise savings. The Smart Shopping feature within the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you're well-informed. By staying updated on price changes and availability, you could be the first to secure a last-minute escape.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate due to various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, having some flexibility with your travel dates may help you find a better deal on your stay in a hotel in São Vicente. For those seeking a distinctive experience, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised touch and, at times, a more attractive value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we might suggest alternative dates that could offer more affordable options.
- Consider your location: Remaining closer to key attractions or city centres might offer convenience, though it often comes with higher costs. For more affordable rates, consider staying in hotels located in less central areas or neighbourhoods, balancing price with accessibility to the sites you plan to visit. You might also explore independent hotels further afield, which usually tend to be cheaper and can provide a more authentic, budget-friendly experience.
