Lovely little bare bones hotel in Travestere. Not a lot of amenities but we had a clean spacious 2 bedroom suite ( but no real common space which was fine). Comfy beds with nice linens and actual maid service. Girl at the desk was very helpful and friendly. Great air conditioning to boot.

Location was amazing. Close to fantastic food options and Rome historical sites. Hotel room is small but all you need if you aren’t there very much. Shower is small. At 200lbs it’s a tight fit. Be aware that you’ll need to carry luggage up stairs. Roof top patio is nice to sit at the end of day. Very safe area.

The location of the property, amenities such as rooftop and secure building made it a wonderful stay. The only negative was the bathroom that had mold and a clogged shower. Asked for it to be addressed but it was never resolved.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again. Very convenient location, clean room and a very nice rooftop deck. There were limited hours with front desk staff and they were nowhere to be found at check-out time so we were unable to leave our bags while we went for a bite to eat. We were on the third floor and there was no elevator so we had to carry our bags up the stairs. We were warned about this and informed of times when there was someone to help carry bags up, unfortunately the times didn't line up with our arrival time.

We received the check in details via what's app. I personally was expecting it to be a a boutique style hotel with a front desk. However it felt more like a self service apartment and we didn't see anyone the entire 4 day stay. I would recommend this place based on location thus what you pay for. It it centrally located close to some of the best restaurants, yet away from all the busy and noisy parts to the city. Don't expect luxury as the name may indicate. It is a basic room, its very small, the bed is comfortable, I wish the windows could stay open on their own, even a crack, as there was a uncomfortable smell in the room + the sewage smell in the bathroom was pretty bad so we kept the door closed. Overall, the stay was good for a weekend in Rome and again the location is perfect.

We loved our stay here! The location is safe and quiet, but close to all conveniences such as amazing restaurants, beautiful streets and piazzas. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and had all we needed for a comfortable stay. Do yourself a favour, stay here and wander this beautiful neigjbourhood. It’s a win win!

This was a great choice for my short visit to Rome. The location was great to have walking access to both the Trastavere neighborhood and areas like the Colosseum, and the neighborhood was quiet. The room was modern, clean and comfortable despite being an older building. The landlord and cleaning staff were very friendly. Communication before the trip was clear and helpful. There is no elevator (lift) which can be a concern for some, but I have no complaints overall.

If you are reading this review look no further for a perfect place to stay in Trastevere. What a fantastic hotel. A huge room, excellent amenities, amazingly helpful staff (thank you, Jessica for all your advice), and a location that is second to none. 20 minutes or so walking distance to all the main attractions, but you are staying away from the tourist traps and in a neighborhood that is overflowing with great restaurants, stores, and cozy Roman vibe. Special shout out to Da Enzo”s restaurant, the best meal we had during our stay, and literally steps away from the hotel. In short, the perfect place for a perfect stay.

With only a few reviews, I was wary of booking here despite the high scores. But we lucked out, the Effe exceeded our expectations. The rooms were very comfortable (esp beds), clean, and up to date. Despite being in noisy Trastevere, it was very quiet at night. Location was outstanding, within easy reach of every major Rome sight. Would definitely stay here again.
