Excellent !!! I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the city and access public transportation. The staff were always friendly, welcoming, and willing to help with anything I needed. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the breakfast was not good… the price was ok… but not a lot of items to eat from! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, and I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for making my trip even more enjoyable!

I cannot express how amazing this hotel is. Cleanliness is top tier and the views are unreal. The rooftop bar is relaxing and chill. I had such an amazing experience in Belgium. The staff were extremely helpful, patient and knowledgeable. I want to give a special shout out to Val and Goncalo for their excellent customer service skills and enthusiasm. It really comes a long way. Please give my recognition to them.

I had a lovely stay at The Standard Hotel Brussels. The hotel itself is beautiful, modern and stylish, with a really comfortable room and a great overall atmosphere. The location is also very convenient, as it’s just a short walk from Brussels-North (Gare du Nord), making it particularly easy to get to and from the hotel. A special mention has to go to Djo, who was absolutely superb. From the moment I arrived, he was incredibly helpful and attentive. He kindly carried my suitcase to and from the taxi and went above and beyond to make sure I was looked after. When I arrived, reception was rather slow as they were training another member of staff, but Djo noticed this and made sure the reception team tended to me promptly. His attentiveness and willingness to help genuinely made a difference to my experience. There were a couple of small areas that could be improved. Unfortunately, the mini fridge in my room wasn’t stocked, and I was only provided with one bottle of water. Given the standard of the hotel, I would have expected the fridge to be stocked or, at the very least, a little more complimentary water to be provided. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel is beautiful, modern and comfortable, the location is excellent, and the service from Djo was a particular highlight. He is a real asset to the hotel and deserves recognition for the way he looked after me.

Avoid this property if you expect a clean room and professional service. Hotel build is good and location is close to train station — but each department has staff that are severely lacking in hospitality training. Restaurant staff can’t communicate last order times and shrug at their colleagues oversight. Which means none is capable of offering a solution unless the duty manager steps in. Disgusted to discover bathrobes and duvet cover in the room smelled heavily of body odour and aftershave from previous occupants. While waiting for this to be sorted the next morning, I was delayed in starting my day and was forced to have breakfast at the location — for which the hotel insisted I pay. Later that day, room service delivered incorrect or cold items, then tried to say that the printed menu in the room is wrong. They were rude — demanding to know what they were supposed to do about it. The hotel comped the room service meal — which they should have for the cold, flavourless item. But they claimed they did this for the housekeeping oversight and refused to comp the breakfast, insisting to keep the charge. Although relevant individuals were quick to address the issues, neglected hygiene is hard to ignore. Mistakes are understandable but multiple ones across all departments speaks to a much deeper problem. Unbelievably, it is a Hyatt property — but don’t let that fool you into thinking that means anything.
