Our room and the rest of the hotel was very well maintained and modern. We loved all the extra amenities like a large selection of breakfast food (including hot items) at the complimentary breakfast. We also LOVED the free coffee bar with tea and hot chocolate too. The coffee was ground right there and SO good. The staff was so nice and room was very comfortable.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at this hotel. The things that stood out to me were: the water pressure was non existent. There were brown streaks on the wall by the toilet and sink. You needed to become a club member in order to have wifi or later check out. Both of these should just be complimentary. The towels were very thin. The breakfast was good. The lights in the parking lot were not on in the evening but on during the day. I would stay here again if I absolutely had no other choice.

The ventilation system is atrocious. Shortly after we checked in, we noticed a strong marijuana smell coming from the bathroom vent. We requested to be moved immediately and were accommodated. However, during our second day there, we had the same issue and management ended up coming to our room with Febreeze to neutralize the smell. Our third day we had a strong tobacco smoke smell come through the vents. Unfortunately, the kitchen was also unable to provide enough pastries and yogurt to feed the guests for breakfast. The staff was extremely friendly, though, and was the reason we did not seek accommodations elsewhere.

I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked this hotel (I am a lifelong Marriott person)! I believe it’s a newer hotel & very clean. Our room was spacious. The staff was so nice!!! I had 2 separate reservations for 2 consecutive nights & was afraid it would be a hassle to stay in the same room, but it was seamless!

There are not a lot of great hotel options in Muncie especially when BSU has an event. This is our second time staying here in just over a month and my wife and I are both happy with it. It's new, clean, comfortable, and convenient. The breakfast was very fresh and the staff was friendly. I think some of the reviews on here are a little rough but to each their own. We will definitely be staying here many times over the next four years. Chirp Chirp!!

The room was very clean, warm and above expectations. I know it was opened in June 2025 but it was exceptionally clean and a great experience. The breakfast and the morning staff was professional and very cordial and the areas was kept well stocked and clean with a great verity of both cold and hot items. The front desk and the office staff were very professional and knowledgeable. The cleaning staff was very professional and very helpful and friendly. We stayed from Tuesday through Friday and we had interaction with multiple staff and all were friendly and professional, and I would like to thank the lady that told us about the Ron Lahody’s Trust Your Butcher Steakhouse, it was amazing and the highlight of our stay. I will recommend Holiday Inn Express in Muncie as the best, and over the years we have stayed in about 5 different locations and this is by far the best and our next time in town will be Holiday Inn Express. Thank You
