Booked this location using my phone app & perhaps should have spent a bit more time reading everything about the place.
We got a room overlooking the water - the first one smelled badly of cigarettes, so we moved to another down the hall. It was a warm evening, so we had the window open. It was a Saturday night with a lot of traffic & pedestrian noise from the road outside, plus noise from occasional passing boats & long, long, long trains passing.
The window open made for many mosquitoes in the room.
We decided to close window after 15 bites & switch on air conditioning.
The AC wouldn't go cool, just mildly warmish. I asked the next morning & they said the temperature range was restricted by a program at the front desk.
It was a night that we really needed a full night's sleep. My wife & I concluded it was the worst night we had ever had sharing a hotel room...
Front desk staff (3 different ambers one the time I was there) was helpful & friendly, but unwilling to take much responsibility when I brought up the issues at check out
