Itchy bed
Location of the hotel was great and the staff were nice, but someone else was in our room! We were taken to the next room first which was a better room (the safe there didn’t work, though.) We could have stayed there, but we were moved to the lower grade room on a different floor. That really messed up and I was late for the program I wanted to go because of that. Also one side of the bed was so itchy. I woke up during the night because of that. We kept getting someone else’s laundry, too. We were also disappointed that there were no fruits for breakfast.

Bad
Organised early check at 7am
Only 1 room ready
Lots of excuses
At 11,30 was told I could have a better room if I paid more
Them can have better room same price
Then you have to change rooms at 10.30pm to standard room
No manager to speak to unless they were hiding
Standard room no window
Breakfast poor choice and quality

Good budget hotel.
Good hotel if you want a bed at a low price. Needs a little facelift and a bit more cleaning but overall okay stay.

For cheap stay in central Hanoi
The room was a pleasant surprise as it was sufficiently large and well equipped. The staff was nice and smily. The downside was the breakfast, very poor, and the internet, which was intermittently working and not working. This hotel is for a cheap stay in a convenient/central location of Hanoi, but not for business.

Great hotel in a great location
We ended up staying at the Silver Boutique Hotel for four days and it was a fantastic base in the French Quarter to see the sights of Hanoi and visit attractions further afield such as Halong Bay and Sapa. Thai at the front desk is friendly and knowledgable and was a fantastic help organising tours and train tickets. Highly recommended.

very helpful staff
NIce hotel, very friendly staff. Rooms are nice BUT aircon didn't work in my room and i was just given a small portable aricon unit. Also the guard smokes permanently in the reception area which makes breathing in the lobby close to unbearable.

We would definitely recommend the Silver Hotel.
I would definitely recommend the Silver Hotel in Hanoi. It is a little boutique hotel that is modern, very clean and the staff were so helpful especially the manager, Miss Thai, she speaks great English and nothing was too much trouble. Without her we would probably still be sitting on a train somewhere! She wrote out directions in English and Vietnamese to make our journey to Haiphong relatively easy and gave us her business card in case we got into trouble, told us we could email or ring at any time and she would help us out. The Silver Hotel made our stay in Hanoi very enjoyable.

Staff were excellent.
The hotel is in the Business district of Hanoi. The street life/road traffic is not as busy and quieter than the other quarters (and especially the 'tourist' regions). All the staff at the hotel were more than willing to help for all of our requests. The room we were in didn't have a window (due to the nature of the buildings around all the sides) but did have a skylight. This meant early wakeups due to not being able to block the sunlight out..but it didn't concern us anyway. airconditioning and separate fans were well used and appreciated. Bathroom facilites were great.

Loved it!! Will choose this hotel again!
I loved the small hotel and personal attention we got at this hotel. The staff was polite and helpful. The hotel was charming and clean. During our stay in Hanoi, we also stayed in a 4-star hotel and the service and charm of Silver Boutique was better by far. The breakfast was okay - not great. Coffee was excellent!
It was easy to get around the city from here. Everything is just a short walk or taxi ride. The area was quiet and pleasing with plenty of great restaurants.
