Ruined my honeymoon!!!!
My honeymoon was ruined after I paid in full and booked this hotel only to find out they were actually closed when we arrived. The woman at the counter recommended another hotel that was not nice at all, but why could we do? To make matters worse, hotels.com has not refunded me the money after three weeks becahse they cannot get ahold of anyone even though I know people are there (there’s a restaurant attached) awful customer service. The woman promised to help me get a refund, but hasn’t been responsive. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!

I was delayed by the airline by one day. I called the property and no answer, I then emailed them successfully. When I got there they had given my room away and cancelled my reservation. They have approved a refund but EXPEDIA will not act on this and I still havent got my money back yet!!! I had to stay in a horrible hotel and use half of my spending money to pay for this extra expense.

It was centrally located and the staff were very helpful. The free breakfast in the morning made it easier to work with the day. Overall, really pleasant experience, would recommend and most definitely stay at the hotel if I revisited Rome!

From the minute we entered we tried to turn around and go elsewhere. It was already late evening. Rooms were not cleaned, elevator down, no hot water, staff just smiled with no answer. We had 3 rooms and had to share amenities. E.g towels, soap etc. Took us time to find another location. Never informed me that construction was underway. They offered no refund or discount. I was filled with anxiety and made those days less exciting.

Great location and a lovely hotel.
Fantastic get away with my wife for her birthday. Hotel was lovely. Great location with all main attractions within walking distance and a metro station only approx 500m away. Property was clean and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast at the property was ok when we did utilise it. Not sure if it was just our room but we didn’t have a shower curtain on our bath which made the bathroom floor extremely wet after each shower. But this was a minor issue. €23 for a single vodka though was a bit too excessive even by central Rome prices. All in all though a great break and a lovely and friendly hotel and staff. Would return on any future visits.

Overall. We did enjoy our time at the Royal Palace. The service by all of the staff was excellent. The building is obviously very old and we believe they have done much to upgrade. The 2 upper floors could stand some improvement. The elevator went out when we were there which was a big deal to us because of bad back problems. The location was very good - a lot around within walking distance and many restaurants. The hotel restaurant was very good food and we appreciated the breakfast they offered to guests. It was a good way to start the day. Thank You to all!

Don't stop here
The room was very basic. The receptionist was no help, and couldn't even summon a smile on her face (it was almost as if I were doing her a favour by staying there). I asked her a question whilst she had her back to me photocopying my passport, she said "one moment please".............however, on turning back to me she just handed me the keys to the room, and that was that. The wifi was a 2/10; flipping in-and-out consistently! I won't definitely suggest stopping in the 'Le Fleur' hotel just 20yards around the corner, we stopped there the previous 4 nights, and the staff were exceptional.

Real good for your money
The breakfast and service was amazing!!! It’s also in an excellent location, close to many historical landmarks you don’t want to miss in Rome. The only not so good thing was the bed. They put together 2 twins and it was difficult to sleep in it.

This is not a 4 star hotel at all!
Shower was leaking every time we use it.
Not much to eat for their breakfast buffet.
The older style rooms doesn’t matter to me, make me feel like it’s more European but we were suppose to be in a smoke free room and we had to have all the windows up for fresh air.

Didn't like anything. The shower was broken, the breakfast hours were bad, the internet was slow or didn't work at all, the service was horrible. No one helped us find the parking for our rental when we called and said to find it ourselves. We had to carry our baggage from the parking lot a 20 minute walk to the hotel and it was hard to find. Never going there again. Horrible experience and I want to be compensated for this trouble.

Horrible property does not deserve any star ratings leave alone getting a 4 star status
Horrible rooms and bathrooms and no facilities in the common areas.
Most unfriendly staff never again to even think of staying in this property
