Overall this was a great stay - the room was modern, clean, spacious and very aesthetic and the air conditioning was ice cold! The rainforest shower took a bit to figure out the taps, but water pressure was great and the shower was a room big enough to hold 6 people. Location was also pretty good, very close to Porta Pia buses and a lot of restaurants nearby. However, there were a few issues that made me reduce one star:
* they only sent me the check-in code for the door less than 3 hours before despite asking a few times in advance starting a week out. For me since I was traveling locally it wasn't that big a deal, but if you are coming from overseas and maybe don't have a good signal or want to be prepared in advance, it could be a problem, especially since the desk is not staffed and everything is handled remotely.
* there is no extra latch/security lock on the door, nor any "do not disturb" sign. For women in particular, this could be a concern, including my 3rd point:
* despite check-out being a 11am, I was woken from a dead sleep at 9am by housecleaning rapping at the door and had to get up in a panic to tell them to come back before they just walked in. Normally if the door is latched I'm less concerned because they won't be able to enter, but in any case I don't believe they should be bothering you during your time in the room, especially if you're only there one night!
Otherwise I would recommend - just 6 rooms tucked away in an unassuming apartment building.
