We spent our mini honeymoon at Pennys motel we are blown away by how perfect everything was! Check in was smooth the bar was amazing the cocktails were delicious and the oysters were perfect the staff were so kind and helpful. We enjoyed the fire and the s’mores and the great people we met there! We will definitely be back!

Charming place. Staff were amazing and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Lots of fun with the games and the s’mores and fire pit. Great cocktails and it was a cool nite so the hot toddies really helped. Comfortable bed, nice shower. Overall great experience - definitely want to go back. Lots of fun.

Boutique motel within a 15min walk into town. The staff is super friendly. The rooms are on the smaller side but have everything you need. Updated, with a nice bathroom (heated floors), they have lots of nice small details (smores to make on the fire, sauna in the main area with a cold tub, little bar with oysters and tapas, coolers outside of each room to put your wine/beer). Its a nice place to hangout a bit and meet people and also to walk into town. Thornburry has lots of good places to eat, jump off the pier, nice walking/biking trails, kayak on the river or georgian bay, hike the escarpment, wineries, or going into blue mountain village. Fun get away!

I stayed one night at Penny’s Motel. I had extenuated circumstances and asked if I could check in early . It wasn’t a problem. Catherine got right back to me . I appreciated that sooo much. I wish I could have enjoyed all the amenities around . Maybe next time. Everything was great!! No complaints here. Well if I were to complain it would be over the price. Very expensive for a room for the night. BUT I didn’t have to worry about anything. It was clean ; the bed and bed covers clean and comfortable. All the little extras were lovely. So, in the end - you get what you pay for!

Check in and checkout was effortless, and help for anything was easily accessible. This place is adorable. Little over priced for a motel but makes up for it in charm. Being close to Blue Mountain it is a perfect over night stop. Retro pool, sauna, bikes and treats on the bed at night. The owners have thought of everything. This was always on our wish list and it didn’t disappoint. Well done
