Most staff were pleasant and helpful, room was large and clean with plenty storage space, bathroom and shower worked well if rather dated. Only downside was the surly young man who met us at reception. Almost seemed to resent us being there. Can only imagine he must be the owner's son or some such, as he seemed singularly unsuited to the role. However rest of the reception staff were lovely

When we reserved our rooms originally, the website locked up and never completed. So we booked single rooms two different ways. At the hotel we had 4 rooms reserved according to the desk. Luckily we were not charged. The website is a mess. The pictures do not give you a good idea of the hotel. It is squeezed in a corner between lots of buildings, you really don’t notice the staircase due to all the stuff in that area. The front desk clerk was great to work with! We were on the 3rd floor, riding the elevator to the third floor and then still have to climb another staircase to get to our rooms. One of our rooms was twin beds. Not sure those are needed very often. Then there was a mattress and headboard stacked in the halllway. I herd the breakfast was not great and very busy!

Hôtel historique en plein cœur d'Inverness. En dehors de son hall qui en jette, le reste de l'établissement est un peu vieillot. Attention certaines chambres sont au-dessus de la gare avec bruits et mauvaises odeurs. Nous avons demandé à changer de chambre. La literie est en revanche très confortable. La salle du petit déjeuner est triste et vieillotte. Le petit dejeuner continental un peu bas de gamme. Petit dejeuner écossais en supplément.
