Literally everything except for the towels were stained. Not one surface was dusted when I came in. Only a curtain separating you from your adjacent dorm mate. The bar and liveliness downstairs is great but for a place to sleep, it was really cramped and really gross. Everyone in my dorm went for Lollapalooza and we didn't get a mini fridge, didn't get a way to get ice or anything, barely 100 sqft of space to share between four strangers, and I wouldn't complain about all this if it was cheap but it wasn't! I had a hostel booked that was $100 cheaper than this at last year's Lolla and it was way cleaner! At least the staff were friendly. And I don't think it's the cleaners fault, they were super friendly when I did talk to them, I think it's leadership?
If you're booking for location and nothing else, it's like a 2 minute walk from a red line CTA stop, so it's pretty easy to get to and from, so I'd say that's worth it.
