I really wanted to like this place because it is so convenient to all the places I wanted to see and photograph railroads. You can see that 30 years ago it was a nice place but now it's a dump. First, the property is sandwiched behind a gas station and between a DOT building and Rt 15 which has been widened to the point that the hotel almost sits on the shoulder. No sound abatement walls or decent plantings to dull the constant roar of traffic. The office and grounds stink of curry. The sheets had what looked like blood and other stains on them, the water smelled musty, like it hadn't been run in years and took a really long time to get warm, let alone hot, no working lights outside any of the doors or along the 2nd floor walkway. Anyone could have been lurking and you would never see them until too late. Not sure when office is locked but no one around after dark and was told office won't be open till 7am. I left before then. Internet stopped working sometime in the evening, no one to call about it. When truckers and work crews don't stay at a place there's a good reason.
