Interesting spacious hotel
It's a love hotel so of course there's a sketch atmosphere but the room had the best size of any room we stayed in Japan, not to mention a king sized bed! Breakfast was delicious, service was good but staff doesnt speak much if at all English (understandable). The room was very dated, the window was broken but covered, several shower tiles were chipped/broken and my side of the bed was broken and creaked and cracked pretty bad, it's seen some action. There is music playing in the hallways to muffle room sounds lol. Overall it was almost what we expected at a great price. Location was awesome too with a station less than a block away. Could it use a facelift? Absolutely! Do I care enough to not return? Hell no. Would definitely return and recommend.
Side note, it has plenty of mirrors, a huge tub and free porn, just sayin' ^_^

Don't let the picture of the suite with the in-room car fool you. Compared to other love hotels I've had the pleasure of an overnight stay in Japan at a similar price point - Hotel Public Jam is consoderably run down with lights that do not work in the room, a very old bathtub and a ill-maintained bathroom that's full of dust and a broken minibar which was removed from the room leaving just a cut power cable in the space for the minibar. Very disappointed.

A different experience
The rooms have unique design, ours was designed as a boat. It doesn't feel like a dodgy "adults" hotel, but it has some sexual hints embedded in the rooms.
Room is equipped with everything you need and is relatively well maintained.
Breakfast is served to the room.

Good Place To Stay In Osaka
Stayed for third time when we were in Osaka. Hotel is about 5 minutes walk from train station and bus terminal & 10 minutes from subway station. Staffs spoke limited English but always helpful. Hotel is close to shopping malls, supermarkets and eateries.

Disappointed
Bathroom/shower smell like rotten onion.
The beds are very uncomfortable, it's just a thin layer of hard foam (not a mattress) The room is very old/outdated. One lady from the front desk is very nice eventhough she doesn't speak English. We bought a package deal, tickets and hotel.
We are just very disappointed!!

Average Love Hotel
I suppose the room was as expected for a cheap love hotel, but I've stayed love hotels before that were more comfortable, so it was still a bit of a disappointment for me. The bed was not comfortable at all, and we couldn't get the room at a comfortable temperature, but the room and shower were huge so that was a plus.

Disappointing love hotel.
I thought it would be fun while on vacation in Japan to spend a night at a love hotel. I think this is not the place for that experience.
The only pros I can think of are that it isn't in a terrible location (close to a subway stop), the room is large and the sheets looked clean.
The cons are pretty big. The room smelled of smoke, and of whatever they used to try and cover the smoke smell. The washroom was terribly smokey, to the point that we ended up breathing through our shirts to disguise the smell. The place is dated and as such, has stains. The sheets didn't cover the entire mattress, only a top layer. So there was exposed old mattress in the room. There were items that were 'sealed' for you to use (like a hairbrush hairdryer attachment) that had hair on the inside of the packaging...
We almost decided to take a loss of the money we spent on renting the room and finding another hotel, but it was already late by the time we checked in. We slept in the place and left in the morning without hanging around (definitely did not put us in the mood).

Different But Nice
This was actually a Hotel for Japanese couples who wish to get away from the kids for a few hours for some intimate time, or if their sleeping around behind their girlfriend or boyfriends back. Normally you hire a themed room for a few hours. If you can get over that, it was actually very comfortable. Although the spa bath didn't work. Overall, quite enjoyable.

Value for money stay near convenient location
Value for money stay. Staff spoke little / simple English but they did their best to understand us and provide good service. The interior may appear aged but equipment were in good working condition. Wi-Fi connection was unstable at times even though speed is quite good. Will consider staying at Hotel Public Jam again when we visit Osaka in future
