Disappointing Stay – Poor Security & Loud Noise
I stayed at Hotel Festival Plaza and was extremely disappointed with my experience. The loud music kept us up all night, making it impossible to rest. Unfortunately, I was in town for a funeral, so this was especially frustrating.
One of the most concerning issues was the security of my room. I purposely did not put the “maid service” sign on my door, thinking no one would enter, but when I returned, my key wasn’t working. I had to go back to the main office to fix it, and when I finally got back in, it was clear someone had been in my room. Even worse, my receipt for my deposit was missing.
The next morning during checkout, the staff refused to return my deposit because I didn’t have the receipt—which had been taken from my room. It took the manager getting involved for me to get my money back. This was completely unacceptable.
On top of all that, there was a constant humming noise coming through the walls, likely from the elevator. The hot tub took over an hour to fill halfway, and I eventually gave up and just took a shower.
Overall, my stay was frustrating, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Security and customer service need serious improvement.
