Beautiful property but have to take shuttle to sister property Beach Club to be on the beach. Disappointed we weren’t able have dinner at Beach Club for our last night. Very expensive hotel comparatively. Have been traveling to Puerto Vallarta for over 30 years. There couldn’t have been more than 10 people staying at the hotel for the entire week which seems strange. Same way the last time we were there, too.

Unimpressed is an understatement
I will say this… this was my first time in Puerto Vallarta. I did a lot of research on hotels to pick the perfect luxury accommodations. I was EXTREMELY underwhelmed by this property. It’s advertised as a “beach front property” the beach is a 5 minute shuttle away (just FYI for those booking thinking they will be directly on the beach like we did.) the rooms look as pictures they are a bit humid and hot the A/C didn’t work the best. Don’t even get me started on the food. For $700 a night you would think the food would be outstanding. It was the blandest most tasteless and disgusting food I’ve ever had in my life. We checked out after 1 night and moved to another hotel. They are still fighting refunding me. BE AWARE!

The hotel and the amenities are okay. There is however an obvious deceptive presentation of hotel's pictures giving the patron an impression that he facility isn't the beach. This is a blatant misrepresentation by the facility as the entire facilities ty is for ve to ten minutes away from the ocean. Consequently all their rooms are garbage den view. Moreover, the rooms smell old and there is only one restaurant on premises (a rather unexpected thing for an all inclusive resort). Furthermore, when we reminded the management about the VIP upgrade, they tried to sucker us into paying extra money for the upgrade. The irony is that the majority of rooms were empty. In all we were happy that we changed resorts.

Terrible.this is not all inclusive resort it’s just old hotel with one restaurant. It’s far from beach . They don’t offer you all inclusive benefits because they close bar & restaurant like regular dining. You don’t have choice to eat in different places because they have one restaurant and small bar . Pool has basic bar and they open 12-6pm . Almost you don’t have any happiness because nobody stay there. Don’t waist your time and money. Not recommended at all

Our room was very comfortable. I cannot say enough about the level of service all around the hotel, and especially at the restaurant Emiliano. Jose, Jesus and everyone else were always ready to please and ask what else they could do for us. Perfect for adults that are looking for peace and relaxation. The only small event, was losing my mom's cell near the hotel's beach club last night. If the cell is returned, I would certainly give this hotel 5 stars.

Casa vela was probably the best place we’ve ever stayed at! The staff was amazing and when they say all inclusive they mean all inclusive, they were there to serve every time we sat down! Our drinks never emptied and they always made us feel like we were the priority and they were grateful to have us and anything we needed they facilitated and or accommodated! I can’t recommend this place enough!!!

The resort is gorgeous and the service was excellent. We stayed 5 nights and were a party of 5 adults with 3 rooms. We ended our 3 week vacation here after traveling through Mexico City, San Miguel de Allende, Guadalajara and Mascota. We had a very relaxing beautiful time. My only are of suggestion for improvement is upon check in we were not given a tour of the facilities and we were never informed that there were activities like meditation in the morning or exercise class. We were unaware of entertainment in the evening options at our hotel or the other hotels. We learned of this on our last night! Please inform guests of the various activities and options.

We had a couple minor hiccups in our first full day there, and the staff went above and beyond to address them. If you have any issues or requests, just ask the staff. The drinks are very good. Margs and mojitos are top notch. If you're a bourbon drinker, they only have Jack Daniels and Jim Beam, but they do have good scotch and high-end gins, vodkas, and rums. If you want something not on the drink menu--jusk ask. If you want a Grand Marnier floater on your margarita--just ask. If you want a drink the second you sit down in a cabana or at the lobby bar, just go up to the bar to order your drink. Otherwise you may have to wait a bit. The food is good. If you want a different side than your entree comes with--just ask. It took us a day to figure out that the food menu they give you in the beach cabanas is not the full menu they serve there. Go up to the dining area in the beach club to see the full menu. The sesame tuna ceviche was a highlight. Be sure to do at least one dinner at the beach club for the sunset (and lobster tail). As other reviewers have noted, it's quiet at Casa Velas. This is not the place for you if you're there to party. It is the place to relax and chill. Tip: if you think you're not getting hot water in your shower, turn it the other way and wait a couple minutes. It comes out colder at first before it gets hot.
