Avoid if you value cleanliness, respect, or basic decency.
The only thing going for this place is its location. Beyond that, it's a parade of disappointments, starting with the paper-thin pillows and basic furnishings that barely scrape by under the label of โbudget-friendly.โ
But the real issue? The utter lack of cleanliness. One of the toilets had visible brown stainsโyes, fecesโdespite a sticker claiming it was โhygienically cleaned and ready to use.โ When we raised this with management, instead of an apology or even a room change, we were smugly told we could โfind another hotelโ if we werenโt happy. As if thatโs realistic during peak season at the Gold Coast. They knew full well we had no other options and used that power imbalance to brush us off. It was insulting, dismissive, and completely unprofessional.
On top of that, youโre given one towel per person for a five-night stay. No fresh towels unless you rewash the same one yourself. Need beach towels? Youโll have to rent them.
There are some kitchen utensils, but donโt expect even the most basic cooking essentialsโyouโll need to buy your own salt, pepper, and oil if you plan to cook anything at all.
And in case you thought you were paying for a full-service stayโyouโre responsible for taking your own trash out to the external bins before checking out.
Oh, and the pool? Closed for a full day and night due to maintenance. Not mentioned anywhere when we booked, of course. Yet we still paid in full.
