Good location close to transport links with boat and bus. Nice staff and lobby area. Room was creaky and old, floor boards creaking. Step down to toilet which was easy to hit your foot on with no nosing on the edge. Wheels of the bed sticking out which I stubbed my toe on. Walls are thin so can hear room neighbours talking and people running up and down the hallway. No ammenities such as tea, coffee, water in the room and no fridge. Overall okay room for 1 night stay with consideration to price and location.

I was a little apprehensive booking this hotel after reading some the reviews elsewhere. I shouldn't have been concerned as I had a great stay and a lovely room. The view over the river was great and the room itself very spacious with a good bathroom and a superbly comfortable bed. There were a fair number of students in the hotel but I think they were accommodated in a separate wing. Location good as there are buses very close that serve Surrey Quays and Canada Water stations. I did walk to Surrey Quays (about 25 minutes). Also a free (for hotel guests) ferry from the hotel pier connecting with Canary Wharf and it's amenities and transport interchange. Very reasonable rates too. No tea or coffee facilities in the room but available from the bar and reception. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Convenient location, especially with the free ferry shuttle, good pubs couple of minutes walk away and another about 10 mins walk o the thames walkeay. Also, safe, nice and quiet with good views of Thames. Only unusual aspect was no glasses in bathroom. Also, bring own travel kettle and cups, tea and coffee, as not provided in rooms. I would definately stay here ne t time in London.

Check-in wasn't good. We were given our first room key. Unfortunately, the lift wasn't working and when we got to the room, it was a double bed not twin beds. Went back to reception and waited ages to get another room. This was in a different building and signs to the rooms were not exactly clear. At reception, there were signs saying that they were having issues with the air conditioning, which continued throughout our stay and made sleeping uncomfortable. It wasn't clear when booking that this is more a hostel than a hotel, so there is no restaurant for breakfast. There is a bar, but we didn't use it as we were out most evenings. They have a number of vending machines, but you can only select and pay for one item at a time. Even though there is a Keep Shopping button, it is a complete waste of time. In addition, when selecting various options, it would say option not available or invalid code, when the items are clearly showing. On a positive, the location was good with a ferry service across to Canary Wharf, which is free to hostel residents.
