My stay at this hotel was disappointing. The staff at the front desk were mostly unfriendly, and the overall vibe was run-down and unwelcoming. It felt like the hotel wasn't particularly interested in having us there, which didn’t create a comfortable atmosphere. They also have a strange policy of not allowing local residents to stay, which was off-putting.
One major issue was the pricing and payment policies. Charging a $100 deposit on a $60 room feels excessive, especially when they don't accept cash for payment, which is inconvenient. While using a card for a deposit is common, I would have appreciated the option to pay in cash for the room itself – one of the benefits of booking in person.
Overall, it seemed like the hotel was more focused on its own convenience rather than considering guest experience. I wouldn’t stay here again, though I’ve had worse experiences in Charlotte hotels.
