Like other reviews, I agree this property needs some love.
I've stayed at this hotel for many years and this year will probably be my last. The kaycard machine was broken when we arrived so we had to be escorted to our rooms to be let in, same again after breakfast. We booked two double rooms. One room was lovely, spacious and crisp cool AC. My room was tiny, had to shuffle across the bottom of the bed to get round and kept hitting my shoulder on the telly. The AC didn't work, if I opened the window the road noise was hurrendous. The one blackout curtain wasn't big enough to cover the window and the bathroom window was huuuge, coupled with a glass door on he bathroom meant there was no way to block the light in the morning.
When checking in I asked for a fan as having stayed here before i knew the AC was hit and miss. The man smiled and said the rooms are provided with errr ventilation. I said ok that means the AC is playing up so can I get a fan please... no fans left unfortunately. Which again, confirms the AC is playing up. The floor in my room was uneven and literally falling apart. The wallpaper/lining is peeling off the walls. It's just generally tired. There is a fridge in the room that is empty, so this generates more heat into a room that is already too hot.
The self service kiosk is a great idea but is very very expensive and basically a giant mini bar.
The breakfast is lovely, no complaints there.
It is not a 4 star hotel anymore. It needs some love NH!!
