Difficult to check in had to go to another resort to do it . Check out time 10 am? Parking in the garage was confusing where and how to get to the room . Investment condo multiple rental companies.A bit worn out

We stayed in a condo in the Capitol Peak Lodge. Check in was difficult to say the least. The front desk staff, while very pleasant, were very ill-equipped to handle check in for the Lodge. We were given less than clear directions as to where to go to get to our room, and it ended up taking over 30 minutes to get to it. Once we were there, however, things went much more smoothly, and we truly enjoyed our stay. We will likely go back, especially now that we are familiar with where everything is. Snowmass village is a great change from the crowded downtown of Aspen, and we really loved being able to "get away" from that there.

The drive to Aspen was gorgeous.,and in the hotel we had an amazing view from the balcony.The are was really quiet,it almost felt like we were the only ones.

Fantastic accommodations!!!
The stay was great. The purpose of our visit was to participate in the Tough Mudder. The location of our room was 200 yards from the event check-in and starting line of the event. The amenities were also great - the room was new and all furnishings were operational and also new. Two hot tubs were available and working, as well as a pool table and fitness room.

Fantastic Fall Get Away
We really enjoyed our stay. We had a lovely condo that was very comforatable for two. Plenty of crockery and towels stocked in the cupboards. daily cleaning great little lounge. It was very cute and cosy and would stay there again with out doubt. The community in Snowmass are really friendly and helpful. We had three lovely days and we felt we got excellent value for money here.

We stayed in the off season and it felt like we where the only people in the whole building. Our unit was well furnished and very comfortable. Easy access with elevator to the parking garage.

Great Place - Unfortunately Significant Negative
On the one hand this was a really nice rental condo; however, there were some specific very negative aspects of our visit. First we rented this because it had a king size bed supposedly - NOT. After getting into the unit we were told there are NO KING SIZE BEDS in any of the units. And since they didn't have a king size bed they were willing to provide us an appetizer or wine in the restaurant. Second just finding the place to check in to was a joke - no address on building, no name on the building that matched where the reservations made it very difficult to just find where to even check-in, Very frustrating. And then after checking in and getting into the room there was no storage other than a closet for our cloths - no dresser, no shelves, nothing. And the one other somewhat minor thing was the sheets on the QUEEN bid did not fit well at all. It seemed like they were actually full size sheets on a twin bed.

Beautiful location, gorgeous grounds, pool, multiple Jacuzzis, great restaurant. I got lucky with a free upgrade from a studio to a 2 bdrm condo (original room had a plumbing issue), which was immaculate. Just remember, it is 8200 feet above sea level, so take it easy for the first few days, so your stay is fully enjoyable.

Quiet Condo...if you can find it
My #1 criterion for a place to stay is that it must be quiet. This condo (Capitol Peak Lodge) was VERY quiet, although that might be partly due to the offseason (September). The condo appeared to be very new, but despite that the king bed was very lumpy and far too soft. The only other complaints are minor: 1) To check in, you have to go to a different property, about a half mile up the hill, then from there it's very difficult to find Capital Peak Lodge as there is no sign. 2) The printed directions for finding the room from inside the parking garage did not specify which of the 3 buildings the room was in, and the room numbers have no logical correlation to the building, and the signs inside the parking gargage did not correlate either. The directions just said "go thru the wooden door to the elevator" but didn't say which wooden door, so we walked around for a while in the wrong building before figuring out the room must be in a different building.. 3) We were supposed to have a parking pass to get into the residential part of the parking garage, but they said it was missing. 4) The toilet in the condo was one of those ultra-low flush models, which actually end up wasting more water than they save, because it takes 4 or 5 flushes (no exaggeration) to do the job. 5) Since it was offseason, almost everything in Snowmass was closed, so after trying 3 pizza places in Snowmass, we finally had to drive all the way to Aspen just to find pizza.

Nice hotel in Snowmass
The Hotel is comfortable and had underground parking at no charge. I really enjoyed having a kitchen and deck, the washer and dryer also came in handy. This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel I would stay again without hesitation. The rooms are clean and the hotel is quiet.

Beautiful condo right on the slopes
This two bedroom condo in Snowmass Village was fantastic. It was newly renovated and had very nice amenities. The condo could have easily slept 8 people, as it seemed pretty spacious for just the 2 of us. One night we ran up the hill outside of our patio, and watched the sunset on top of the slope - that's how close we were. There was one big downside to our trip - unfortunatley we came the worst weekend of the whole year. Ski season has just ended and summer season had not yet begun. The entire town (and I mean every store and restaurant besides Starbucks) was shut down. We even checked out nearby Aspen, and it was a similar situation. Luckily we had brought food to use in our kitchen, but the place was a ghost town. Deifnitely would have been nice to know this ahead of time so we could have picked a different weekend. I think if we would have booked through the actual resort's website, they would have let us know. We ended up leaving a day early and not getting our money back. So, long story short, I loved the resort but will probably not use the same website to book travel again.

mountain retreat
The location is perfect for hikers and bikers because the mountain trails start right outside of your door. We rented a bike at the Snowmass Village Mall, rode into Aspen on a beautiful, paved trail. Our favorite Snowmass Village Mall restaurant was Zanes--wonderful Mexican food with micro brewery beers on a sunny terrace. Although our condo was a little dated looking it was comfortable and the Top of the Village staff was very friendly and efficient.We usually stay in Aspen but now we are converts to the less crowded, less expensive atmosphere of Snowmass Village. If you go in the summer don´t miss the Aspen Music Festival;it is outstanding.
