Don't Believe the Photos Online
As soon as we arrived I felt like we had been duped. The resort looks nothing like the photos on line and the staff acted like the guests were an inconvenience from the moment we set foot on property. There were plenty of staff sitting around on golf carts doing nothing and no one offered to help us with our bags. Many times we were waiting to be helped while staff were on their cell phones behind the desk or the bar. The restaurants were running out of menu items and pricing was not consistent with what we got charged. The furniture on our balcony was rusty and there were nails sticking out on the benches. Some of the sidewalks were impassable due to debris and dirt that looked like it had been there awhile. Not long after checkin I was chatting with a Hotels.com virtual agent to cancel the 3 nights at the end of our stay. The agent contacted the hotel for me and said yes I would get a refund. When I went to check out on Jan1 they had no idea I was checking out and as of right now I have not received a refund from you. I would like to be contacted to resolve this matter please.

Grossly understaffed
Let’s start with the property is beautiful and the highlight of our stay. But that’s where it ends. The “resort” is grossly understaffed. Everyone around us would say the same thing, if only there was “one more”, i.e. one more server, one more food runner, one more bartender, one more housekeeping staff, one more front desk person. The potential of the hotel is undeniable but it’s not properly staffed. Housekeeping came to our room once in the 5 nights we stayed there. We would have to consistently obtain our own bath towels and take out our own garbage (which remained by the stairs for days on on end). The cherry on top was on the day of check out, which is at noon, housekeeping showed up banging on our door at 8:00 am to remind us that check out was at noon and came back 2 hours later. Magically housekeeping appeared more times that morning than in the entire time we were there.

Worse Marriott affiliated hotel I’ve ever stayed
Service was very poor. Took 20 minutes to check in and there was no one in line. Asked front desk for change and was told “front desk doesn’t keep cash in hand. You’ll HAVE to go to the restaurant for that. That was the front desk clerk on duty the evening on 12/20. Breakfast Buffett was no better than a run down diner. Over $30 for crappy food. This hotel operates as though it’s going to go out of business. Everything seems to be about saving money. Housekeeping was poor. Towels not replenished, trash left out. I honestly can’t believe this is affiliated with Marriott. Would recommend other potential travelers to stay away. Save your money and stay someplace else.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment and frustration with a recent booking we made through your platform. We chose this hotel based on the photos and descriptions provided, particularly due to the advertised pool facilities, which were a key factor in our decision to stay here. After traveling a considerable distance and taking a flight specifically to enjoy the hotel amenities, we were extremely disappointed to find that there is, in fact, no functioning pool available. Upon arrival, the front desk staff informed us that an email should have been sent notifying us that the pool would not be available during our stay. However, no such communication was received, leaving us unprepared and misled about the experience we would have here. This property is roughly the quality of an aged limited service hotel. Beautiful location, but the deferred maintenance and lack of staff is obvious. Pool was out of service completely. Cable TV did not work. Certainly not a premium offering any longer.

This was a horrible experience from the moment I arrived. I was told check in is at 4 and 5 minutes before 4 then when 4 o'clock came I was told the room was not ready. Proper way to handle this situation when I got there was to say the room is not available give us some time. The staff dismissed me only to tell me at 4 room is not ready. I was there 4 days room was cleaned once even though I requested it daily. The toilet bowl was filty. The toilet flashing mechanism never worked I ask them to fix it daily. They didnt come for two days then when they finally came they temporarily fix it after one flush it went back to doing the same thing. I literally had to take off the tank to flush the toilet every time. I asked to speak to a manager none ever seem to be on duty. Finally room had roaches. I have the pictures to prove it.To be honest I only stayed at this hotel because I had other things to worry about. I took this trip to attend my grandma funeral this hotel which was suppose to be an escaped added tremendously to my stress.

I enjoyend my overall stay. The bathroom needed more cleaning, the hotel pool was closed due to remodeling, looked like it has been like that for a while, would have been nice to know before booking.

Beautiful location! But the pool was not open as advertised, which we wish had been communicated beforehand. Also, we had a reservation for the Saman restaurant through OpenTable, and when we arrived it was NOT open as advertised. The bar atmosphere and service were fantastic. But the food was very basic there and incredibly overpriced. What a beautiful property that could be such a gem.

No pool…. If you’ve missed this, it’s because they’ve decieved you with their pictures. The pool has a crack and they can’t keep it full. No blender… if you want frozen drinks (it’s 94 today) you should go elsewhere. Not sure if the staff is unable to trip a gfi, or unwilling. Now for the great.the beach is out of this world for scenery. Nice chairs, very quiet, secure, and did I mention the views? If you can live without a pool and frozen libations, this place may be for you.

We had roaches in our bathroom had to leave the light on all the time. They never changed our bedding and we had to use kleeenex for tp a few days because they didnt refill. There pool and hottub do not work they said the hortub is no longer and the pool no def answer but it is green. Restaurant is super expensive and quality of food is 3 out of 10.
