For the price it was ok. Beds were clean. However we checked in with 4 adults 1 child in a suite with 3 beds, 2 had linens, there was only 2 towels. Luckily we had beach towels and extra blankets for the child. Front desk was very friendly and breakfast was on par with other hotels. 1 night we could be ok.

Room carpet was stained, looked dirty and old. Bed was clean & comfortable. Liked the white comforter - was easy top see dirt or stains on it(saw none). No bedbugs or dirt seen under mattress edges. Sink countertop looked clean, as did shower stall(didn't use it).

We rented four rooms for an extended family reunion. Between the four rooms, there were four different things wrong - AC not working, TV not working, missing door look hardware, broken chair. I was functional, but certainly not worth the price. Funny smells in different parts of the hotel too - especially the elevator.

This was by far the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had

This was by far the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had in my 35 years of life. First the indoor pool that they advertised was UNHEATED and as cool as outside in December. Our bathroom was filthy I didn’t even want to shower in it. Their WI-FI didn’t work the entire time even though they advertised and provided a code. No paper in business center. And kids ran up and down each and every hallway all night long my daughter and I couldn’t sleep before a very important cheer competition. Horrible

Perfect if you don’t want to get any rest

Oh, where to start? Maybe with the railroad that is practically in the parking lot and shakes the whole building every other hour when a train goes by. Or with the bar right against the backside of the building with live music till midnight. Or maybe the hookers in the back parking lot As well as druggies and homeless wandering around and even some sleeping on The chairs in the lobby. Besides all of that, They also won’t do housekeeping unless you request it. The AC in the rooms Barely work as well And not to mention the water in the showers doesn’t cool down and is burning hot to the touch when it is turned all the way down. All they did was a cheap remodel, trying to make it look modern and give it a facelift when in reality it’s outdated and old. The remodel work is horribly done. So yes, needless to say we’ll never be staying here again. The only positive note was the front desk, lady that was there in the mornings till afternoon she was very sweet and tried to be helpful.

Very poorly maintained. Felt dirty and shabby. My wife refused to stay there it was so distasteful. No redeeming qualities whatsoever. And in addition it was very close to the train tracks with freight trains running in rapid succession.

The location was ideal - that's the one thing this hotel has going for it. We attended an event on campus, and it was conveniently located across from the NIU stadium. However, we stayed on the first floor and our curtains were broken, so we were unable to close them and we spent the entire night flooded with lights from the building's exterior. The faucet's hot water didn't work, and the shower drain was missing its plug. I understand wear and tear and we didn't expect luxury. The deal breaker, though, was a safety issue. We returned from our event late at night and nobody was staffing the front desk. A man solicited my daughter and me in the lobby and we had to walk past him to reach our room. All in all this stay was an unnerving experience.

There was a large bloodstain on the sheets. I noticed the front desk and was informed the cleaning staff was gone, so he gave me a towel to cover it. I stayed 3 nights, the room was never cleaned. It’s an old musty hotel, avoid it.
