Lugar incrível, quarto super confortável. Fiquei com uma amiga, achei bem espaçoso e com uma varanda agradável para tomar uma taça de vinho com a vista para o mar. O quarto tem utensílio doméstico e eu poderia até morar. O café da manhã é maravilhoso, tem uma variedade de comidas e para intolerantes ao glúten também tem muitas opções. Os funcionários foram extremamente atenciosos. Nosso voo era bem cedo e eles prepararam uma refeição para levarmos no dia anterior. Nunca fui tão bem tratada em hotel como no da Madeira. E para finalizar a localização para mim foi a melhor da ilha. Conseguimos visitar quase tudo. Voltarei o mais breve possível com outras amigas.

Overbooking is the strategy

After a 13 hour trip, we arrived at a place that was overbooked. An alternative hotel was offered 3 km up the hills, so clearly not a 'walk to the beach' anymore. Hotel staff was OK, but young. Manager on the phone did not talk to us, but to the girl instead. We were offered dinner as a compensation, but we had to stay elsewhere. Note: we were not hungry and had other dinner plans for the next night... No financial compensation offered, but only free dinner at the hotel that we could not stay in. Arriving at the alternative place gave us the impression that this happened (much) more often... Note: we were supposed to be contacted about our proposal of financial compensation by the manager the next day, but this did not happen. Note; the review of the room in the hotel is not valid since we did not get one.

Beautful Hotel on the coast

This is a beautiful hotel, with a range of pools and an opportunity to swim in the sea. Breakfast overlooking the sea was spectacular. Rooms are lovely and we made the most of the cooking facilities. Staff were courteous and friendly. A lovely week.

Hotel an ruhiger Lage direkt am Meer

Wir haben ein Auto gemietet am Flughafen und waren somit sehr unabhängig. Wir haben Funchal besucht, die Gärten, sind gewandert den Lewadas entlang und auf dem Pico Arieiro…unendliche Treppen auf und ab. Die Blumen und Pflanzenreiche Landschaft sowie die wilde Küste hat uns sehr gefallen. In Porto Moniz und Garajau haben wir gebadet.

Nice hotel but lacks atmosphere

This hotel was spotless and rooms were spacious and comfortable. All staff were incredibly polite and helpful. The outdoor and indoor pools and pool areas are extremely well maintained and there were plenty of sunbeds for all guests. The steakhouse restaurant food was good. The only negative was that there was a lack of general atmosphere.
