Deeply Disappointed by My Stay
I am incredibly disappointed with my stay at Wychnor Park Resort and feel compelled to share my experience. From the moment I arrived, I encountered multiple issues that made my visit frustrating, uncomfortable, and, most upsettingly, emotionally distressing.
Firstly, the cleanliness of the room was well below standard. There was visible dust on surfaces, particularly on the window ledges, and the windows themselves were in poor condition. It was clear that proper maintenance and attention to detail were lacking, which is unacceptable for a resort of this supposed caliber.
Secondly, the sleep quality was terrible. The bed was not a proper king-size but instead two single beds pushed together, which made for an uncomfortable and restless night. Sleep is a fundamental part of any hotel stay, and this setup was far from what I expected.
However, the worst part of my experience—and the reason I am so upset—is how I was treated during a personal tragedy. I recently lost a family member, and in the midst of my grief, I requested to check out early and receive a refund for my unused night. As a Platinum member of Hotels.com, I have spent hundreds of thousands of pounds achieving that status, and yet my request was coldly refused without an ounce of compassion or understanding. In a moment when I was vulnerable and needed even the smallest bit of kindness, I was met with nothing but rigid, dismissive policies.
This experience has left me not only frustrated but genuinely hurt.
