2 nights in Cloudcroft

Comfortable and unique historic property, the breakfast buffet was excellent. We visited White sands national park and Alamogordo. Service was excellent and the room was very cozy.

Bad bed

This was one of the least comfortable beds I’ve ever had. It was incredibly soft and saggy where people had slept and was only fairly firm in the middle, but to sleep there meant squeezing my wife pretty badly. Mattress was in dire need of replacement. Otherwise the property was cute and interesting and the food and service at the restaurant was fine.

Great old hotel and great views

The hotel was beautiful and historic but the age factor is my only issue. Whoever was in the room above us got up early and was walking around for 2 hours with the floor/ceiling creaking and popping with every step. Very difficult to sleep. The fine dining restaurant was nice however be prepared to wait a very very very long time to get your food. Once we finally got our food it was very good but we were fed up with the waiting and our waiter ignoring us during this long wait. Would definitely stay here again but avoid dinner and get a room on the top floor.
