The staff was wonderful. I was disappointed that we had to share a bathroom with people we did not know in the next room. It was not clear when I booked the room. It also did not serve breakfast so that was a disappointment. I was there with my niece and two great-nieces, and it would get loud at night. (They had earplugs next to each bed) If I had a cabin, it may have been a little different, which is what I thought I ordered. We stayed two nights and we did not have anyone come in and make beds or refresh towels during our stay.

-Did not like sharing a bathroom with the room next door, especially since they treated it like their own bathroom and not a shared one. AND I could not secure my room every time I used the restroom; someone from the other room could have just walked into my room and gone through my things. -It took over five minutes each time I took a shower to get the temperature just right. Otherwise it was too cold or too hot. -The shower did not drain well. -The floors are old and make too much noise when you walk on them. -The bar food is too expensive for what you get. I had a small pulled pork sandwich, fries, and a can of beer, after tax & tip the bill was $25. I went to bed hungry.

High hopes for a chill northwoods room-above-a-bar based on the reviews. Reader, it was not chill. Above a bar means loud — fine, we knew that. What we didn't expect was a bonus foot massage courtesy of vibrating floorboards, capped off by a band's rousing finale of a song called "Nymphomanic," delivered in full lyrical clarity through the cheap wood paneling. Apparently the original band reunited in 2025, for anyone hunting cultural enrichment. Shared bathroom — disclosed upfront, no complaints there. Less disclosed: the drunk guy next door, who once the band stopped, treated us to an hour of moaning through walls thin as a promise, then pivoted to yelling "Expedia customer!" into his phone. Turns out someone had used the shared bathroom mid-shower and left it, let's say, unusable. He announced he wasn't paying and wanted a refund. Then: ninety minutes of horking sounds. Bless the staff for leaving earplugs on the nightstand — MVPs of the night. The AC ran exclusively on "Eco Mode," meaning either sauna or meat locker, so we played sheets-on-sheets-off until dawn. Final straw: brown linoleum bathroom floor, texturally unwelcome underfoot after zero sleep. Possibly petty. I was not in a generous mood by then. Booked two nights, survived one. One star for the earplugs. One more for the real ceramic coffee cups — small mercies.

Very secluded place. Impressed with restaurant, bar, and hotel.although it is somewhat dated, very comforable, very good location and great get away place. Would definately stay again. Especially good for snowmoblers or atv. Lots of beautiful trails at your doorstep
