Very modern looking hotel, but the service, whilst really friendly, doesn't match the image. The room was a double deluxe by looks, but too small to be anywhere near deluxe. The bathroom door wouldn't open fully as it would hit the bed frame.

The room and building was good however the website states parking. Minus 1 star: There's only 5 spaces for the entire hotel so had to park down the street which was an additional cost. Minus 1 star: Hotel tried to overcharge the booking and only changed when I insisted, showing proof of the booked price.

Could not get into the building on arrival, left outside in freezing cold. No one at reception. Eventually gained entry then shown small print to say £10 per night parking. No heating in breakfast room, serving staff working in heavy coat. Had to ask 4 times for clean towels for the room. Hotel is in a decent location for tower and town centre but will never stay there again.

Arrived and staff didn't have record of my stay despite booking on Hotel.com so spent around 15 minutes faffing which cut in to the time getting ready for an event we were there for. No shampoo and soap in dispenser in shower. Room was clean but not insulated so had a combination of dance music and Frasier blaring from the rooms of neighbouring guests still going at 4am. Not much of a presence at Reception. Not very good for over £70 which doesn't include a breakfast. Need to get the basics right.

Room cold but modern, jobs had nit quite been finished off properly. The next rooms telly is on the wall where your bed is, so heard nearly every word of their telly, until 1.30 am . Breakfast there was only us in the dinning room, had to wait for it to prepared no milk for cereal and no juice. I asked for scrambled eggs and got warm bread and an omelette cut up, i can not tolerate any fried foods. It was a bit overpriced for what we got

Rooms and overall decor of the building was brilliant. Clean, comfortable and such friendly staff. WiFi was great, TV included Netflix and it wasn't a tiny telly you get in a lot of other places. Bathroom/shower was so good. I can't speak highly enough. Will definitely be heading back. Loved it.

Messaged before the trip as needed parking but arrived to find no spaces available and have to pay £30 for 12 hours parking. Reception didn’t seem to care. Asked for VAT invoice, was just given card receipt. Key didn’t work so walked all the way back down to reception, no staff anywhere to be found. When staff finally arrived, they replaced the key but I was then late for the event that was the sole purpose of my visit. Room was small but manageable. No full length mirror, lots of dark hairs in the bathroom around shower seal. Kettle had approx 2 cups of stagnant water it in. Walls very thin. Could hear all activities in neighbouring rooms. Was awoken by someone else’s phone alarm. No staff anywhere to be seen at check out.

I was charged for my room as the receptionist said that it hadn't been paid via Expedia. Additional charge of 20 pounds to park outside the hotel. Room refund given prior to checking out.
