The staff were exceptionally polite, friendly and attentive, always going out of their way to ensure guests felt comfortable. A great example of this was when they kindly prepared a packed breakfast for us as we had to leave at 4am for the Abu Simbel tour. The food was excellent, with both breakfast and dinner offering a wide variety of delicious options, much of it traditionally cooked in tagine pots. The hotel also stands out for its eco friendly approach, using solar energy to provide hot water. Located in a traditional Nubian village, the hotel offers a genuinely authentic atmosphere. The area is filled with stalls selling local crafts, souvenirs and spices, and it felt incredibly safe, with many vendors even leaving their goods outside overnight highlighting the safety and honesty of the local people.

Grosse Erwartungen (4.5 Sterne; Deluxe Riverview Zimmer; hochpreisig fuer Aswan), sehr grosse Enttaeuschung! Der Blick auf den Nil ist toll, der Rest sehr bescheiden fuer ein Guesthouse dieser Preisklasse. Das Guesthouse ist kaum ein Jahr und an vielen Stellen verdreckt. Niemand scheint sich um die total verdreckten Sitzauflagen und die dreckigen und abgeschabten Tische auf dem Rooftop zu kümmern (Fotos) Treppenabgaenge zu den Zimmer und viele Aussenwaende des Guesthouses sind stark verschmutzt ( teils Vogeldreck) und abgeschabt Mein Deluxe-Zimmer hatte zu wenige Lampen, ein Betttisch fehlte; die Duschevorrichtung primitiv. Buegel im Schrank fehlten. Jeden Tag bat ich um einige Buegel, nach zwei Tagen kamen drei instabile Buegel. Ich bat jeden Tag um stabile Buegel. Auch nach 5 Tagen passierte nichts. Gespraeche mit dem Manager Samir blieben alle ohne positive Veraenderung. Dieses Guesthouse ist absolut nicht zu empfehlen! Weit ueberteuert, noch nicht vollständig aufgebaut und schon stark abgenutzt und verdreckt; . Mein Zimmer war allerdings sauber. Generell fehlende Kommunikation; Motivation im Restaurant eher duerft

An honest review. Positives: Samir is an awesome hotel mgr and really tries to make your stay pleasant. The bed and pillows were comfortable. And the restaurant was great, really good Egyptian food. Negatives: very poor to non-existent wifi (I consider this a MUST for any good hotel). Location is in a poor and busy location. The street is a 1-km long open market/bizarre. The road is a single lane dirt road with a mix of people, camels and cars. Difficult to get to when the bizarre is open. Hotel is next to a busy dock/port, so it is very noisy (load music), lots of load motor boats, smell of gasoline and smoke from the boats. Rest of the hotel room (bathroom and deck) are barely acceptable, not to our usual standards. This property is not for those looking for comfortable and quiet rest. However if you enjoy the hustle and bustle of rural Egypt, this would fit the bill. Really comes down to your needs.

Hi everyone,I will recommend this hotel to any couple no kids because the best place and location on the Nile .with view to kill.in the center of the nobian village Aswan .enjoy camel 🐪 rides, everything hand made in village . Delicious free breakfast. Remember no tv ,but free wifi , 2 night maximum more than enough.and the best thing is the service best stuff.and super clean rooms.

Our stay here started on a crazy note but the staff at Dolty Kaho were very welcoming and helpful. Mr. Samir (the manager) did an excellent job at answering all our questions and arranging things for us during our stay. The rates were fair and not the extra tourist prices that I came across everywhere in Egypt. Its a beautiful and unique spot with the only issue being that its not easy to locate due to small and busy roads. Although not a 5 star hotel - if you wanna experience the hospitality of a Nubian Village, then I highly recommend it. The food was excellent and the market is right at the doorstep. Overall, a unique and enjoyable stay.

Wow…!!!!!! Absolutely fantastic, and a must!!! We chose Dolby Kato because of the colours, and location in Aswan after a Luxor to Aswan cruise, not realising how special the Nubian Village was in itself. Right from the start, the communication was excellent, including advice to make sure the taxi would make it all the way to the front door (which he did, despite being unsure). Check-in was great, efficient, courteous and welcoming. The beautiful room was ‘refreshed’ literally as we walked in - it was super clean already. Plenty of excursions are on offer, so though we used the hotel as a transit for one night, I will consider it as a destination in itself next time. Finally, the restaurant. Another WOW!!! We stayed in for dinner as we arrived late and had an early start. The view of the Nile and over the boat ‘harbour’ ferrying groups coming to visit the village was vibrant and fun. And the food…superb! Though we ate well our whole time in Egypt, this proved to be our best meal (you don’t have to stay to eat there by the way, so stop by!!). Cooked from fresh and sooo tasty!! They arranged an airport transfer for the morning which was no hassle, providing a packed breakfast. All in all, a true gem in location, comfort, service, good, basically everything. I’d strongly suggest adding it to your itinerary if you’re in Aswan, I wish we could have stayed longer.

The customer service is excellent. Samaya was a life saver. Just be aware that there is construction happening on the dirt roads and vehicles are unable to drop/pick up at hotel. We needed to pay extra for a tuk-tuk to get us to out to our taxi.

Wow!! An incredible find- book now!! The staff is incredible & hospitality always with a joy filled smile. Incredibly well decorated with amazing combination of Nubian & Greek influence. Actually met the designer, she works at the hotel & I praised her on the decor!! Food was good, large portions & fresh. Walked the village with bright colored homes, market shops & camels. Bed were comfortable. Views spectacular!!

I stayed for 2 nights with my GF. It was a pleasant stay. The hotel staff was friendly and helped us with booking transport for our excursions and arranging activities. We only had one issue with the bathroom tap but that was resolved in good time and I am happy with how that was dealt with. Breakfast was okay but nothing special that said nowhere in egypt was the food really amazing so dont let that put you off. Got us a transfer to the airport the morning we left. Would recommend this place if you want somewhere in the Nubian Village.
