I have never been so pleasantly surprised by a hotel stay as I was at the Snug. I rented one of the Snug Dwelling apartments for a stay in Athens with my son, primarily because it promised to give us each a little private space. The photos on the Hotels.com website showed a place with a kitchenette and two bedrooms, but I expected, like most hotel photos, that it would be something tiny with a couple of nooks for sleeping. In reality, it was way nicer than the photos - two actual bedrooms, each with a desk and closet and access to the balcony, as well as a nice-sized living room and a full, if efficient, kitchen. There was a washer/dryer combo in the large bathroom that was a lifesaver, as well as a full sized dishwasher and a refrigerator/freezer. Everything was clean, the sheets and blankets were nice quality, there was a drying rack in the closet. My wife and I lived happily in smaller apartments when we were young.
The contact with the company was done through WhatsApp. Once I got it set up, though, it went very smoothly. There staff was friendly, patient, and kind.
There’s a small elevator, so you don’t have to haul your luggage upstairs.
The place is about a five minute walk from the Keramaikos metro station, which is on the direct line from the airport. It was easy to get back and forth. We were able to get to just about anyplace in Athens in about half an hour. The Enterprise car rental headquarters for Athens is about a five minute walk in the other direction.
