Beautiful Property, Poor Execution
While the facility itself is stunning, several issues made for a disappointing stay that fell short of a five-star experience:
• Room Quality & Amenities: Our "double" bed was actually two singles pushed together. Furthermore, basic amenities like hand soap and body lotion were missing from our sink, though we noticed them in other rooms.
• Construction Noise: We were woken up daily by loud machinery from the hotel’s own expansion project. When we complained, the reception dismissively suggested we simply stay inside with the doors closed.
• Service Failures: We were locked out of our room for nearly two hours. While we were given a temporary room to wait in, no further effort was made to compensate for the significant inconvenience.
• Dining Issues: Under the half-board plan, we were surprised to find that even water incurred an extra charge. Additionally, coffee service (coffee is made by a machine) at breakfast was consistently slow; a self-service station would be much more efficient.
The Highlights:
The food is fresh and healthy, the gym and spa are well-maintained, and the adjacent parking is very convenient.
However, the management and attention to detail need significant improvement.
