Great location in he town. Quirky building, room was spacious. Only stayed the one night as at a gig at the Piece Hall.

Excellent location, loved the old style building and features. We opted for the superior room much larger and an amazing view from the 3rd floor across the rooftops of Halifax. Comfy bed, the hotel is a bit dated in areas but didn't spoil our stay for one night as we watched a music event at the Piece Hall our main reason for staying in Halifax.

The rooms were dirty bathroom floor dirty hair on it broken toilet seat and broken sink cracked carpet full of stains no heating a electric oil radiator was in room but had no pac test sticker on it and it looked in disrepair. Over all this is the worst hotel we have ever had the misfortune of staying in

Great location close to restaurants, pubs etc. Also close to the train station and Piece Hall. Room was clean and well maintained.

Great location in town centre, parking 2 minutes walk away, clean rooms and bit dated but bed really comfortable, tea coffee in room,smooth quick check in ,will definitely stay again

In great need of an overall, its looking very tiered. The bed had a massive dip. The wooden chair was ready to fall apart. Shower door didn't close properly.

No parking at the property. You have to park in the Broad Street car park for £15. Very basic amenities - tea and coffee. It did the job for what I needed as was going to a gig. Wouldn't want to stay there otherwise - no atmosphere and a bit drab.

The front of desk staff had only worked there for 3 days and appeared to be working alone which has obvious safety concerns. She however was incredibly helpful and friendly and was the only positive of our stay. The hotel smelled of sewage. The carpets were stained and dirty. We had filthy cups and saucers. If you left the hotel at any point you have to hand your key in so, at night, you’re waiting on a dimly lit street to be let back in. Whilst the room had a small travel kettle, tea bags and milk, if you want coffee you had to go and buy one from reception for £3.50 (thankfully you’re close to McDonalds and their coffee is much better). It could be a beautiful hotel if time and money were put into it.

Great central location if visiting the Piece Hall, friendly staff. Hotel is dated and a little run down in parts. Requested twin room and had a large room with a double and single bed in, bathroom large, complimentary toiletries, tea/coffee facilities, kettle very clean/new. Beds comfy and clean. The room rates reflect the standard of hotel, basic but all you need for a night.
