We Love everything about it! The only thing we didn't like was getting moved between the days we stayed. We actually did like the second condo better then the first one we was in. Everything was great other then having to move to one condo to a other one between our 4 day stay.

Other than a “one bug” citing, the property is very dated but clean. Beds and linens are great. Nothing better than listening to the crashing waves as you sleep.

Our stay at The Colony, was great! The front desk clerk was very kind and knowledgeable. Check in was smooth with no problems. The unit was clean, the kitchen was nicely stocked with utensils and cookware. A nicely sized ocean view balcony, steps away from the beach. There were fun activities for kids and adults staying at the resort, and my grandgirls thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The pool was clean and very enjoyable. While the pool area is small, it was top notch with tables, chairs, and lounging chairs that were nice and comfy for adults. We noticed several improvements being made to the units during our stay. The bathrooms are small, but very clean and noticeable upgrades had been made. Overall it was a great stay at The Colony! Thank you, and my family and I look forward to seeing you again.

The room has a great view, nicely updated bathrooms and a great view from the patio. Carpet and baseboards through unit are absolutely nasty, would definitely recommend replacement asap! Carpet in a beachfront area is just nasty, needs to be waterproof hard surface flooring throughout. Kitchen was better than pictures online but also dated. A few beach chairs would be nice as well for a rental such as this..

We had a problem free experience during our stay. The unit was spotless, minus a couple of stains on the carpet. The unit smelled good, and was very clean! The staff was friendly, and very accommodating. They also left a pumpkin pie in the fridge during our check in for Thanksgiving, very thoughtful! This is our second time here, and we love it.

-Great location steps from the beach and restaurants. -2bed/2 bath. Room very clean and plenty of room for everyone with updated bathrooms. - Outdoor pool - Oceanfront balcony - Staff super friendly and helpful - Second time staying at the Colony. We will be back!!

Great beachfront location for seniors

My sister and I enjoyed our stay at the colony at Virginia Beach so much! Great beachfront location. Everything was clean and in working order. The mattress was wonderful. Two recliners in living room.Helpful, pleasant staff. This was our first visit to Virginia Beach, but now that we’ve discovered the Colony, we will probably return. We are +/- 80 years of age. Easy access.

The beds were comfortable. The condo was clean. There was everything we needed in the kitchen to prepare meals and clean up after ourselves. I believe laundry detergent was available as well if we wanted to wash our belongings before we left. The security guards on shift for the duration of our stay was very helpful. The staff member that took my call the day of check-in was just amazing and very pleasant. He name escapes me but I want to highlight her. The beach view was beautiful. For a girlie that's afraid of heights, I love a good balcony view of the beach, which was literally steps from the back gate. All you had to do was cross the bike path and you were on the boardwalk. And the boardwalk was clean and the artwork was beautiful. I had a full day of just walking the boardwalk and reading about the artwork. I enjoyed my stay and even recommended this place to a few friends I know coming for a visit. Hopefully they book with you all!

My stay was exceptional, and I loved every moment of it. The condo was clean, comfortable, and the view was absolutely amazing. Before my arrival, I experienced an issue with my card, and the staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout the process. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about both the property and the surrounding area. Their excellent customer service truly enhanced my experience. My only minor concerns were the lack of a full-length mirror and the fact that the bathroom fan runs continuously whenever the light is turned on. The sound was a bit aggravating at first, but I quickly got used to it. However, I could see how this might be challenging for a child or adult with sensory sensitivities. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would love to return with my family for a longer visit. I highly recommend this property—it was absolutely worth the money. Thank you, Johnnie K., and to the other staff member whose name I unfortunately can't remember. You were both amazing and made my stay even more enjoyable!

The rental unit was falling apart. I've never seen a dump like this place. There was a maintenance request from the previous renters (which was dated May 31, we got there June 4) that stated there were bed bugs. And a host of other problems. We left immediately after calling the properties management, who never responded. On a scale of 1 to 100 I'd give this place a 5.

The room was excellent! The view amazing!! Beach access was awesome!! Girl checking us in was new and kinda clueless. Got there early and wanted to check in she said shed call me back, 20mins later no call back, so had to wait til i seen a maintenance man to let us in to check in. You need codes to get in and out of the building. Hot water didnt work 1st day i went and reported it they fixed it immediately. Kitchen was stocked with all your cooking and baking supplies. The water knobs are backwards tho. Bed was firmer than i cared for, but thats personal opinion. Kids and husband loved it, none of us wanted to leave.

The condo was just what we wanted. Balconies in several rooms facing the beach and easy access to the beach. We watched dophins for two days! The staff were really nice and treated us very well. We didn't have any issues and there is security there after hours. And everything was clean and comfortable in the condo although slightly dated with a few things that needed some touch ups. But for the 4 of us coming in for a wedding, we had everything we needed! Keep in mind that there isn't a switch out service for bedding or towels. And they only provide starter items like small samples of dishsoap and toilet paper. You will need to get more if you run out. We struggled with the washing machine (in the condo) but finally got it figured out. The other amenities were minimal. You can walk to lots of fun things and restaurants all along the strip.

Our stay was good. There was some confusion about our reservations ahead of the trip, but it got sorted out before we arrived. The stove top could have been cleaner. The pod holder for the Keurig typy coffee maker was missing, so we couldn't use it. These were minor things. The view was spectacular and it is right on the beach/boardwalk. We would stay again

I came on vacation with my husband and my three children, and we had a wonderful time! The location is fantastic. The kitchen is quite well-equipped in terms of dishes and utensils. The beds are comfortable, the view is incredible, and it’s so close to the beach. The pool was also a huge plus. A few beach games are also available (e.g., spike ball). I had to communicate several times with the host before my arrival, and I received a reply each time. I will definitely come back and recommend it without any hesitation!

Great location on the beach!! Every member of The Colony staff was amazing! We had an issue overnight with our a/c and maintenance was at our door bright and early to get it addressed. Big shout out to Amy, Gus and Jonnie for taking care of everything!

While there, the heat index was over 100 and the ac unit could not keep up. Our room was over 80 the first day/night there. They did supply a portable ac unit to help. After that the stay was better. It’s clean and great location. Great price for what we got. The living space was very open and nice. Perfect for what we needed.

I like that it was a two bed two bath condo right on the beach. The views your fabulous from the balcony looking onto boardwalk and the beach. I plan to make another reservation. Staff were so friendly, helpful and courteous.
